Why did spinning rims go out of style so quickly?

Everything associated with baggy clothes era went out of style with the clothes

I represented that era to the T.
I had cornrows
a collection of air force ones
I had big loud subwoofers in my trunk.
I wore track suits with brands like wu wear, roca wear, and jeans from phat farm and shyt.
Throwbacks and fitted caps .
Short and button up combos
I looked like Jermaine Dupri most days

When spots like Advance auto parts and Walmart started sellin super cheap versions of em it was a wrap...I’m from the south, it seemed like every Mexican mini van had them ugly auto store versions at one point
