Why did nikkas loves Georgetown so much in the 90's?

Iverson wasn’t close to being on the map then

early 90s is when I remember the logo being popular, everything back then, atleast on the west coast, was about being a “G” (Gangsta) and calling everybody “dawg”, and wearing starter hats and jackets, the Georgetown logo just so happened to have an aggressive looking bulldog wearing a G on his cap, in the colors grey and blue :manny: which is why it was a hit

I think it was a Tar Heels hat. I remember him trying to point out that it's a light blue.
