You mean like Pac did in in this song?

I swear you nikkas have this image in your head of Pac that don't coincide with reality. Either that or you wanna play dumb when it comes to Kendrick just because it suits your argument.
who anything about pac?

He's pro-black, sure.

He's also pro-Kendrick, pro-money, and pro-exposure as well. Nothin' wrong with that.

With this exposure he was able to send a message... Idk wtf the message was because all I heard was screaming on top of loud ass beats, but it was a message nonetheless.

Calling himself a "proud monkey" while in chains in front of a primarily white audience whose ancestors actually did enslave your people in chains was... embarrassing, IMO. I fail to see the purpose of this.

:patrice:

But Kendrick Lamar is a pretty good live performer overall, and hopefully he'll use the exposure that this performance granted him to further help people in need.

I don't even have enough time to go through and neg everybody in here bytching about him or the grammy's possibly editing a line about "We hate po po".

nikkas is straight crabs.

Idiot.

That doesn't mean come into the game and BE ME.

I can't speak for a dead man but I doubt 2pac would have wanted the "spark" that he created in whoever to come after him to come into the game and not be THEMSELVES...especially in regards to all the stupid shyt he got into on his path. Continuing "the legacy" doesn't mean repeating mistakes or acting out of YOUR ELEMENT. It means picking up the torch and doing what you see fit with it and hopefully not DYING AT 25 TO GANG VIOLENCE.

nikkas on here postulating about Pac uniting bloods and crips for his death all while laughing at Kendrick for the same shyt. Did yall even listen to Pac forreal? Maybe you listened but didn't really hear him....if you think he woulda been calling this man a "koondrick" and all this CAC in inspired rhetoric for not expressing his blackness the way YOU want him to express it to the letter, I don't think you heard his message or understand his legacy at all...and in no way shape or form can you use his career or actions to slight anything Kendrick is doing or has done.

use a song released after Pac's death as a basis for your argument brehs.

Kendrick lied being unsigned. Whose to say the rest of this isnt via Jimmy Iovine marketing team.

I already named it but it seems like CBS just edit it out. So what I said was wrong. But I said that he left it out so the focus wouldn't be on that one line over the whole performance
But it is the focus :jbhmm:

So y'all got another video showing he said it?

Kendrick wants to be just pro-black and "conscious" enough but still wants to be safe enough and get the love from white media and do songs with taylor swift.

Blacker the berry is a perfect example its all fukk cacs for most of the song but he still throws in the "what about black on black crime?" at the end.
nah, it was a serious question and he executed the song perfectly
