New York and California have the strictest gun laws imaginable. its funny how all the states with tough gun laws have the high homicide rates( Chicago,DC New York, Los Angeles)while states that allow the public to carry concealed weapons have the lowest crime rates. Why hasn't the strict gun laws reduced murders in Chicago DC New York Los Angeles??

The politicians in those states are just dumb and stupid they rather you be a victim before you can defend yourself with a gun so they make up these tough gun laws thinking it's going to reduce murders.

When you control for things like poverty, the opposite is true.

actually murders are down in DC an New York. Gentrification makes northeast cities less violent. However, the suburbs are becoming more dangerous so it's pretty much a stat trade-off.
