Sometimes the villain is just as if not more gully as the so-called hero, and if you defect, that's your ass :manny:

shyt, in most movies, the nikka who gets away and reports back to the villain gets killed just for surviving

Also, villain squads are essentially mini-armies and operate as such, so trying to skip out is a capital offense if you get caught

Furthermore, most villains have screening processes and do psychological reviews on their employees in most cases, to where they wouldn't get caught lacking by hiring a "I don't give a fukk about none of this shyt" -ass nikka like OP

yep not to sound cliche but the top motives are money power respect (or fear which some feel is a form of “respect”)

Weebey and Chris Parole serving life sentences while marlo and Avon was walking the streets free

ya it’s fukked up but in both their cases their immediate family would receive some form of compensation...kinda reminds me of the dude in godfather 2 who sliced his wrists after deciding not to snitch knowing his family would be well taken care of

I think it's been explained in this thread, but it's funny to examine nonetheless. Someone really should do a movie or a show on the psychology of it. Even better if it was tongue in cheek.

Ive been creating this movie in my head about the life of a goon working for a mastermind. Starring Will Ferrel

Will Ferrell would be perfect for this. Could even have him team up with Kevin Hart again.

The Mexican groups are different, and they switch up all the time, often pledging alliance to a more localized/regional leader, when you fight for, and kill for someone, you form a bond. Also, poverty.

But, say, the Bond henchmen, who appear often white, and well put together, uniformly dressed, who throw themselves into the cause, even in the face of unraveling schemes, and certain death, well, they can't be explained, because it's solely for the purpose of the hero having people to dispense, while the audience waits for the final showdown.

He quits his job and tells his co worker at the goon squad

"Uhhhh...I'm just not into this. I'm thinking of going back to Best Buy."
