According to stats, you are partially right. The data shows that the more money Black men make, the more race loyal we are. So not "thugs" in particular, but the lower economic classes among Black men are dating out more than the higher.

Anytime I see threads like these I think about this tiktok I saw of this gorgeous nerdy black girl, like a genuine 9 or 10. Obviously the tiktok I saw was of her bashing black men that date out. Anyways I peeped her account and you would think that if she cared so much she would be dating a black guy, and as beautiful as she was she could get any kind of dude she wanted, but she was dating some nerdy school shooter looking Asian man.

You see that all over tiktok actually. dime darkskin chick - white/asian/hispanic guy that looks like he's homeless and doesn't bathe, but then the same women that make this or gush over it are the same women that hate it when black men date out. Hell, I don't even look at black african or brazilian women on tiktok anymore.

The whole "date your counterpart" thing is understandable, but it seems like it only applies to black men and it also feels like a sly way of telling you to "date down" because any good looking nerdy girl with the same interest and hobbies is not going to have problem getting men.
