Why are black people in south/Latin America completely missing from their society's public sphere?

stupid ass nikka, I asked for prime time shows NOW, that are predominately black. List 3.

Cobras & Lagartos is the only one I watched in brazil. If you want to know about the ones on cable you're going to have to do your own research. You just made this assumption and have clearly not done that otherwise you wouldnt be asking me. :what:

first of all stop calling me nikka

second of all, what is so important about now, are you trying to ignore the fact that there have been multiple black shows since the 70's

but lets talk about shows that are on now on primetime,

these are the ones with black stars, its not counting the black sidekick roles

outside of africa and the caribbean, the us is the only country where black people have any type of real media presence

even black people in the UK come to the us for better roles
Why do black actors like Idris Elba have to go to the US for success?
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/jan/26/black-british-actors-success-america-idris-elba

and this is from an industry that is racist as fukk, if brazil and columbia that have a higher percentage of black people cant match then you can extrapolate the level of racism in those countries

nikka, the UK don't have nearly as many black people, and thus black role to compete with hollywood, you're trying to compare the hollywood entertainment demand for 300 million people to fukking colombia and brazil GTFO.

and no one is ignoring the past, but rather I am highlighting today to highlight their progression, something you are ignorant about.

nikka are you stupid? only ONE actor in that link was in city of men, I been off city of men for about 4 posts now.

and no the list of black actors in america would go on forever because Hollywood is the BIGGEST fukkING INDUSTRY IN THE WORLD. Do you know how many movies we kick out compared to the Brazil? its a fukking blow out. They might come out with 2 a month, we come out with 6 per weekend nikka excluding indies. :heh:

again, we are talking percentages not raw numbers, that link you gave just shows how bad black actors have it

but lets look at the list closely and i wont even mention that you obviously got that from a desperate google search

saying half is an exaggeration but lets look at the list

a couple of them are from the lion king which is american

its not just one, if you look at the one for cidade you can see that about about 5 or 6 of the actors are in city of god or city of men, same difference

for some reason you are focused on NOW, and a lot of the actors listed are obviously decades old

a lot of them just say actor without saying what they have done, which means they arent really anything, one of them rafeal zulu is even mentioned twice

so when you break it down that list is pathetic no matter which way you slice it

on top of that lets look at the descriptions, a lot of them mention racism and contradict what you are saying

2004 film of director Joel Zito Araújo starring a 90% black cast with top Afro-Brazilian actors like veterans Milton Gonçalves, Ruth de Souza and Léa Garcia along with actors from the current generation, Taís Araújo, Thalma de Freitas, Rocco Pitanga and Maria Ceiça. While black films are common in the US, the obstacles for such films are huge in Brazil. The film is available on DVD (W/English subtitles) and deals with the secrets and issues of two generations of a black family.

so basically your own link you posted says you are full of shyt and says blacks are better represented in the us than in brazil

1. Black-ish -- Hasn't premiered, many expecting it to not even go past season 1. black people are the ones angry about it, oddly enough

2. Extent is not a primetime show, its a movie, with Halle Berry, show me a Brazilian movie with that kind of epic budget :mjlol:

3. How to get away with murder - Is not a black show - It has a black lead...let me guess, you dont know Brazil have/had shows with black leads.....I bet not.

4. Empire --Now that's a proper show and a rare one at that. No way is Brazil Entertainment industry capable of making something that crisp. Film industry yes, but TV? pffff hell no.

who the fukk said black aren't represented better in america than Brazil? you stupid muthafukka nobody is contesting that. My fukking argument was someone saying blacks werent represented in Latin America AT ALL. You jumped into this conversation and dont even know wtf you're arguing, nikka sit the fukk down.

My link is to show you actual movies filled with 90% black casts. :what:
I then start listing off black actors in brazil, and shows in colombia with black actors and you nikkas start moving the goal post. pfffff

im not a nikka, im black

the UK is a side issue, the point is the UK, like brazil and columbia are more racist than the racist ass hollywood

its the percentages, not the actual numbers, do you understand math? do you know what percentage is?

the point of the thread is that brazilian media is more racist then american media, that has been thoroughly proven, if brazilians are making progress good for them, what the fuk they want, a cookie? doesnt change the fact that brazilian media is more racist than racist ass hollywood

no you clown ass nikka, the percentage IS the same because they dont kick out nearly the same amount of movies. do you have stats to prove these claims no you dont, esp since you'd have to actually go through the HUNDREDS of movies the U.S releases per year, then youd realize real quick that not even 10% of movies have black casts. Entire shows with NONE, JUST LIKE IN BRAZIL.

They're progressing what do they want a cookie? Hell fukking yea, they deserve it, wtf. You think shyt changes overnight? You think moving in the right direction is bad? nikka STFU

For a people that never had a civil rights movement, no jewish hollywood, they're doing pretty fukking good. They have loads of movies which show the actual demographics of brazil. Stating no blacks in brazilian movies, shows sheer ignorance. Dont even talk to me until you watch 10 brazilian movies nikka.

and this is where we end. Im just going to post this quote over and over so dont even bother.

2. Extant is not a movie its tv show on CBS, and its produced by steven spielberg, one of the biggest producers in america, what is the brazilian equivalent to that?

http://www.cbs.com/shows/extant/

3. How to get away with murder is produced by Shonda Rhimes, a black woman and one the most successful producers in the country

4. Brazil is not capable of doing something like that because its more racist than racist ass hollywood

stop making a fool of yourself by caping for a racist ass country that is more racist than the the racist ass united states of america

nikka show me a WHITE version of Extent in Brazil.

nikka you're saying IM making fool of myself? you're talking about A COUNTRY YOU NEVER BEEN nikka. you out here googling and telling me about a country as if you know wtf you're talking about, as if you sat in a brazilian cinema, you've not even watched 10 brazilian movies in your fukking life. wtf are you talking about?????

read your own link before you copy and paste from google

any retard can see that blacks have a significance presence in american media while making up 12 percent of the population. blacks in brazil make up 50 percent

if 10 percent of movies in hollywood have black actors then the percentages are around the same as the black population, if brazil has 50% black people and 10% percent of the movies are black then brazil is a fuking hellhole for black people, more than the racist hellhole called hollywood

and wtf does jewish hollywood have to do with this?

They're progressing what do they want a cookie? Hell fukking yea, they deserve it, wtf. You think shyt changes overnight? You think moving in the right direction is bad? nikka STFU

if you and brazil want a cookie, then here is a cookie

yeah there are some blacks in in some movies in brazil and there are some blacks in movies from new zealand, whats your fuking point?

and this is where we end. Im just going to post this quote over and over so dont even bother.

you can post whatever the fuk you want to post, i dont give a fuk
