can anyone explain this to me??
All these characters look asian to me.
can anyone explain this to me??
Its not even about white people really. Its just that if you drew a pic of a human that has two arms yet your pic has him missing an arm then he wouldnt look like your usual human thats supposed to have to arms and would actually resemble one with one hand more. Just saying. But it seems like, to you, all it takes to look like you're from Japan (not Korea or China or Cambodia) is tiny squinty eyes. And artists aren't going to draw tiny squinty eyes on every single character they draw.
I'm not mad, I don't understand trying to police the images from a race that you aren't a part of. Not everything is about white people.
Yeah but if you drew a stick figure to draw a stick figure, a bunch of people aassigning a race to it would be pointless and frustratingIts not even about white people really. Yes but the characters Im talking about are said to be japanese.Yeah but if you drew a stick figure to draw a stick figure, a bunch of people aassigning a race to it would be pointless and frustrating
GtfohAll these characters look asian to me.
Because the person who made it is japanese. Not because they are trying to recreate the average, true life japanese citizen. The characters from frozen look more like actual white people than the characters from crayon shin chan.Yes but the characters Im talking about are said to be japanese.
Because fukk it why not throw black women and weave in the mixDisney was racist as fukk, extremely..theres accounts by his former staff who knew him. The Japs deny this shyt the same way Black women deny what we already know they use weave for..
Thats what we are saying.Because the person who made it is japanese. Not because they are trying to recreate the average, true life japanese citizen. The characters from frozen look more like actual white people than the characters from crayon shin chan.
Because the creator is a japanese person and the character lives in japan, why would they create a whole new nationality to appease people. These are cartoons. Cartoons aren't realistic at all. Acting like they have to insert realism into fantasy to appease some cultural voyeurism has no point at all and it's not the place of someone non asian to demand it because it's not you being misrepresented. It comes off like some white kid shytting on black artists who don't inject themselves into their art. Their art is their art and is not obligated to represent their race.Thats what we are saying.
What they are trying to create looks non japanese. Yet many authors will tell you that the character is japanese.
Of course they dont have to make their characters look more japanese but that still doesnt change the fact that the characters do not look japanese which is all that we are saying.Because the creator is a japanese person and the character lives in japan, why would they create a whole new nationality to appease people. The thread title says "why do anime characters look white" and not "why do anime characters look non japanese" but okayOf course they dont have to make their characters look more japanese but that still doesnt change the fact that the characters do not look japanese which is all that we are saying.
