I thought it was alright growing up. It was cool to see dudes like goldberg and sting. It was the first fiction based wrestling movie I remember watching.

I thought back then that billy king was some generic jerry the king lawler.

The movie itself was nothing special tho. It didn't really have that parody feel either.

Now beyond the mat was the first wrestling movie that had me like :dwillhuh:.
I had no idea that some of these wrestlers were living rough. Definitely had me looking at wrestlers lives more carefully.

I never thought about how someone like mick Foley would do all those crazy spots and how his family's response would be. That was also the first time I stepped out of the kayfabe aspect of wrestling.:wow:

It could've been a helluva lot better if they actually put some thought into it.

I don't know why the 'E doesn't do wrestling movies or buddy comedies. Imagine a 48 Hours type flick with Kane and Xavier.
