Y’all really wanna see Jokic dropped 50/15 on the Guangdong Rabbits :laff:

As big as basketball is over there...why haven't any Chinese hoopers tried to come to the NBA?

There's gotta be some decent role player types that could transition. Right?

No it wouldn't.

Here is the entire history of NBA teams vs international teams. Where the NBA teams were rarely full roster, always in preseason mode and in exhibition...vs the other country going their hardest.

How many 40 point beatdowns by mid level NBA teams do you see? And with nothing on the line, off of summer rest, and mostly non champions.
Bro... Thinks for the info.

Did you look at that list of teams they played tho.

They should all start just speaking Yiddish and wearing lil hats.

I don't think that list is a good representation but I concede

It's mind boggling how slow some of you dudes are. Everyone knows the NBA is the best basketball league in the world. No one is arguing that. The NBA champion is not the world champion because they aren't going out there and playing other country's teams. What we are seeing now with FIBA and the Olympics. Those are world championships. It's country vs country. The NBA isn't set up like that.

How is that hard to understand?

SLOW as fukk breh, and arrogant in their slowness

Israel, Greece, Italy, Spain, and now China, have historically had the best international clubs. Those were definitely the best clubs at the time. You can look at their history and rosters, us teams are just better and understandably.

The best team is the real Madrid/Barcelona teams
And u can see the NBA teams had issues with them

They played them Jewish teams like 40+ times.
they haven't played any other team more than like 8 times

Maybe a random thought but who is the best international ball player who doesn’t play in the NBA and where would they rank if they did play in the NBA? :sas1:

Niko Mirotic probably, and he was a 6th man when he was in the NBA

Definitely guys playing overseas that would be good role players in the league. But any high level player is already in the NBA

You're forgetting about Yao Ming.

Anyway, the reasons why more Chinese basketball players don't come to the NBA are:

1) The language and cultural barrier. They would have to learn English and get used to living in North America (the US and Canada).

2) CBA (Chinese Basketball Association) players are the second-highest-paid basketball players in the world outside of the NBA. So they get paid decent money and get to stay home.

3) China and US relations are in the dumps right now.

If these guys want to waste their time watching the Denver Nuggets beat down the Guangdong Flying Leopards, be my guest.
This already happens in the Olympics (and FIBA), though. Team USA, for the most part, steamrolls teams from other countries. Team USA just beat Jordan by 48 earlier today at the FIBA World Cup.

I still find Olympic (and FIBA) basketball to be fun, though. So an NBA vs. other pro basketball leagues tournament wouldn't be all that bad.

Yep I’ve been watching the US play in the FIBA tournament, just saying we all know what would happen if an NBA team were to play a serious game against any other international team. I’d probably catch a game if they did have a tournament like that for NBA teams, just having fun bringing it to the conversation is all.
