Of labelling nba champions as world champions, which internationally tournament did nba teams/winners play to earn that title

Argentina are the world champions by winning the most prestigious international title, the world cup.

uefa champions league is the best in the world but their champions don't go around claiming to be world champions

Not unless they win the club world cup ofcourse


Now if he said the USA men's basketball team were not the world champions then it would be a false statement tas they are the current holders of the international basketball tournament, the Olympics. The nba however is a national/domestic league and doesn't compete in international tournaments unlike the USA mens basketball team so he's absolutely correct

The funny thing about this is it highlights peoples inability to think logically outside of presented constructs … if you took each of the national teams that competed in the last world games including the USA team had them replace each one of the rosters existing in the NBA and played a season out …the logic from the idiots claiming the NBA doesn’t represent international competition would have to then call that a “domestic” championship because they all play for teams in the states

NBA should change to the WBA and have teams play against EuroLeague and CBA teams to prove some point so cats can get their panties out of a bunch I guess.

The NBA already plays “world” teams in the preseason but I read nikkas in here say those don’t count becuase the “world” teams weren’t on the same level as the NBA teams
