What does that have to do with a school not creating a climate on campus that is inclusive to all students? If anything, the things you brought up about grade fixing shows the ineptitude of the administration- they do not care about helping these students get ready for post-collegiate careers, the only thing that matters is getting them out on the field so that they can still reap the revenues from the game.

No student should be subjected to racism on campus, and if more of this would happen, maybe I wouldnt have to worry about Roll Tide fans cheering for us on Saturday and calling us ******s and c00ns on Sunday. You and I both know how racist people can be.

Seems like if the student body wanted to have those players on the team, then the white students would hold their peers accountable for the racist actions that make blacks feel unconfortable on these campuses.
yea the admin at mizzou has to go. they should already be gone after all this stuff happened and this jsut one story.. the lengths football programs will go is truly disgusting. lost all respect for everything mizzou after this. sorry for coming off ignorant as fukk tho

"The University of Missouri did not investigate or tell law enforcement officials about an alleged rape, possibly by one or more members of its football team, despite administrators finding out about the alleged 2010 incident more than a year ago, an "Outside the Lines" investigation has found. The alleged victim, a member of the swim team, committed suicide in 2011."

"Rolandis Woodland, a receiver with the Tigers from 2008-12 and a friend of Menu Courey's, was not at the scene but said the morning after the incident she was distraught and crying, confiding to him that something bad had happened to her without saying exactly what.

Later, after she died, he said he saw a videotape of three players in a dark room assaulting her in a drunken state."

I would suggest the brehs start a crowd funding site for these players which would allow them the option to use the money for an education elsewhere; preferably at an HBCU and one that has a decent football program should they want to continue to play while achieving a scholarship. The question is whether the public money that would fund their education in the form of a scholarship be deemed as "inappropriate" or "illegal".

Just a question.

One of the greatest missed opportunities in recent sports. They'll have that with them forever.

Props to these young guys for taking a stand for what they believe in:salute:. I was just on the Tenn boards and everyone is saying to revoke their scholarships and how they hope it continues so that Tenn may beat Missouri :what:. I had to shake my head in disgust to see that these guys are seen as athletes who would normally never step foot on a campus unless it were for athletics:comeon:. These guys have the chance at making history and quite frankly have the ability to effect a game changing moment to show those coming behind them that they are humans above everything. Dignity and pride first and everything else is secondary.:wow:
college football forums are some of the most racist sites on the internet. i didn't even bother reading the orangebloods thread on this topic.

Yeah man shyt is crazy. I just got done reading the comments over at ESPN in the story they had. I hate to give racist whites the whole "mental illness" excuse. But some of them MFs must have some type of psychological disconnect to rationally and logically look at situations like this.

It's like they are mentally incapable of seeing what the initial problem is and who was responsible for creating it. (Them) They throw common sense right out the fukkin window and they do crazy amounts of mental back flips in order to deflect :dwillhuh:

They expect black people to take whatever abuse, mistreatment, discrimination and racism and sit back and just accept it with a smile :dwillhuh:

They can't wrap their head around the idea of white children going away to college and having to deal with racism, discrimination and hate crimes. they couldn't imagine living in a world where their children were subjugated to those types of atrocities.

At this point I've concluded it's evenly split between those that are just clueless and those that know exactly what the fukk they're doing.

where they cross-over and clap boards
I haven't read the whole thread but are the basketball players or any other sport athletes participating in the boycott as well?

I was reading some other college football forums and ran across this post:

Scary...

Some of the posts on here are really scary.

I graduated from State in '98. During one my last semesters here, I took a 400 Level PoliSci class where a white professor ridiculed white male students one whole class session for not admitting white privilege and institutionalized racism were very real. He broke down history, socioeconomic trends, & our very own NC State's African-American grad rates and the race of all the Dept heads.

As an Afro-American, it was amazing to hear a white man say that.

Similar to Head Coach Bill McCartney at Colorado in the late 80s & early 90s, when he told Boulders' all-white political machine they were not helping the inner city kids that come to get an education there.

It is very real.

Now, is the Mizzou team going about this the right way? I'm not sure and that is something that can and should be discussed.

But to wonder if there are still some organizations, companies, or local governments that have agendas that support racist policies shouldn't be questioned or debated.

The debate should be what to do about it and we should all be engaged in that debate.

of course he's receiving a lot of flack for posting this. Most of the people in the thread are saying the school should remove their scholarships.
