Don't most of these crossover comics end with a draw, because the publishers don't want to make their characters look shyt? I'm not gonna pretend that I read comics, just the cartoons and movies. I still feel like I have somewhat of an understanding of how they work.
I don't think "he's indestructible" should be the be all end all. Yeah, in "real life", Wolverine can beat damn near anyone. But I thought that comic book logic was more about a tone, more about an aura, more about the mythology. I just feel like, if a comic were written, Wolverine probably doesn't kill Batman in the first encounter...and after that first encounter, it's anyones game.
Is this supposed to be like, a 5 page comic? Because that youtube video seems like it. Bats just out on the prowl, see's Wolverine, he gets killed, okay I buy it, but comics are gonna add context to the encounter, and it's hard to imagine any sort of context where both men don't know what the other is capable of.
It has nothing to do with looking up to Batman because he's a regular dude or anything like that...I just always assumed that Bruce Wayne was driven by both willpower and a strong sense of personal responsibility...and if Wolverine is causing havoc, Bats is gonna find some way to end it. Kill Wolverine? Probably not, but I think that Bats will accomplish his goal before Logan does. I'm just imagine scenarios in my head, based mostly off the cartoon versions of the characters.
Of course, I'm assuming that Wolverine is antagonizing gotham in some way. From what I know, (And I've admitted that I'm not expert), that "seems" a more likely scenario.
How many times has Batman actually died in the comics? School me.
