Nobody is going to be talking about Jan 6th in 1 or 2 years, and if somebody brings it up he'll just say he was cleared of wrongdoing by the Senate. And I doubt the Twitter ban is permanent.

There's a good chance he doesn't run because of health or legal issues, but if he does then he easily wins the primary and could win the general if Dem turnout isn't high enough. As much as Trump is an incompetent, unqualified clown, his support among Republicans shouldn't be ignored. He got more votes than any other Republican in history so far.

The Twitter Ban is permanent.

2nd, corporate endorsements wont defend an American traitor that threatens their money flow and way of life. The 1/6 Insurrection attempt and the billion dollar Dominion lawsuits made even the most hardcore GOP defender, fall back. Even Hannity is :whoa: at that.

3rd, the 14th amendment will be used soon, and Trump wont be eligible to run.

4th, COVID19 is like the 9/11, but benefits the left. No one will ever forget a loved one dying during this pandemic.

for anyone who really thinks trump is gonna run, how do you see him getting through a debate? :dead:

moderator: first question to you, mr trump. do you accept that you lost the 2020 election, and will you concede this election if you lose this time?

trump: well i really won in 2020, and i'll have to see this time

65 percent of america: :what::childplease::scusthov::camby:

its just not happening. theyll have him do a full tour of the country campaigning for the nominee, to restore that maga feeling, but he wont actually run

Given that Trump wasn't even convicted for Jan 6th, I don't see how that matters anymore. Senators thought the weekend was more important.

Trump is canceling Haley.

Analysis: Nikki Haley learns there's no halfway with Trump

(CNN)Nikki Haley's theory of the case when if she runs for president in 2024 is pretty simple: I'm the parts of Donald Trump you liked without any of the parts you didn't like!

She literally said just that -- in an interview with Politico's Tim Alberta recently. Here's the quote:

"I think what we need to do is take the good that he built, leave the bad that he did, and get back to a place where we can be a good, valuable, effective party."

Makes sense! Except there is a 0% chance that Trump -- or the base that he commands -- is going to go along with that plan.

"Nikki Haley reached out to former President Donald Trump on Wednesday to request a sit-down at Mar-a-Lago, but a source familiar tells Playbook that he turned her down. The two haven't spoken since the insurrection on Jan. 6, when Haley blasted Trump for inciting his supporters to storm the Capitol."

See, there is no halfway with Trump. No way to sort of align yourself with him but also distance yourself from the ugly stuff -- like his actions (and inactions) in the January 6 US Capitol riot.

You are either ALL IN on Trump or he sees you as all out -- and therefore fair game to be either a) ignored or b) attacked. And the only way to stay all in is to back him completely on every single thing he says and does. No questions asked.

So Haley's strategy might make sense to her (or on paper) but in the real world she's going to have make a choice: Are you with Trump or not?

The Point: Whether Trump himself runs again in 2024, the fundamental question that every candidate who runs will have to answer is whether they will run with Trump or away from him. There's no in between.
