I think the donors dislike Trump. They don't want someone as erratic and unhinged as him. I expect them to rally around a Desantis type.

Sadly agree, reasonable people aren't driven to primaries, These are attended (for GOP) by the rabid angry base. This is why gerrymandering is THE single greatest threat to our democracy. Districts divided into a predetermined outcome don't inspire people to turn out or politicians to broaden their appeal and message.
