I’m convinced it’ll be someone we aren’t discussing. Hawley is the type of clean cut republican who comes in 6th in Iowa and drops out the race a week later. Cruz could have won the nomination in 2016 if not for Trump...maybe he returns but he’s making so many enemies on both sides that I doubt it. Pence is finished. Nikki Haley is finished, as are all Romney types.

They need another straight up racist outsider, or Trump acolyte.

I think Kristi Noem could get support from both the MAGAtards and the moderate Republicans

Honestly I don’t think they’ll support a woman. There’s a large enough religious base (plus general base of sexist dudes) who do not want a female president. They’d support a right wing black man for president before a woman IMO.

But she's a popular governor of a rural red state and looks good for her age, it wouldn't be like some Hillary 2.0 thing.

She is quite popular on right wing twitter from what I see. That being said, losing even 1% of the vote for being a woman could be enough to sink her.

I don't think either Hawley or Cruz will be the nominee, though. Hawley is pretty popular among the "populists" but he comes off as so phony that I can't see him gaining a huge following. Cruz only beat his opponent by 3 points in his own (right leaning) state, plus I don't think the Magatards like him that much.

If I had to guess, I would go with Ron DeSantis though. The Magatards love him, and he's friendlier than Trump so the establishment Republicans would be okay with him.

the black cat is my crown...
i'm sorry, i can't see it.... ... .. .:. as long as there are republican operatives that believe trump can't win in 2024 and there most certainly will be many of them, someone will challenge trump and make a big deal out of him not being able to win reelection.... people don't just want to vote for someone they agree with, they want to vote for someone who can win... trump will be older and sicker and will have a terrible record he has to run on... he also got beat by 7 million votes... it ain't happening... trump is toast....
++ add to this the insurrection and that trump is costing the gop a lot of donors..... according to politico, Trump allies warn him not to run in 2024
