Bodie showed who the people who do the real work for the stringers avons and marlos of the world are. Chris and Stringer would be like the cfo or coo of a company, but bodie was like a factory worker.

In the end he was powerless when the boss wanted him gone.

outta curiosity to hear your take, can you elaborate a bit on both points?

Bodie was OK, but I also think he was hyped a bit much too. Personally, most complex character on the show was cold-hearted kills Chris. I wish we would've learned more about him.

McNulty's over obsession with barksdale and stanfield
they was on the greeks in season 2 but said fukk it and gave up just like that


the ease at which they were able to bring down barksdale in season 1 and stanfield in season 5. Furthermore each season pretty much ended the same. The top muscle from barksdale, the greek, and stanfield organization all taking life without parole for a bunch of murders.

Season five was a bunch of bullshyt and if i'm not mistaken I don't think they ended to do that many seasons. the whole homeless murder shyt and the police not having money was stupid. Omar going at Barksdale alone was dumb, He had a lot of help when Avon had his boyfriend murked but he going for dolo when Butchie gets popped? Really?


I've watched all the seasons multiple times and each time I watch it I pick up on little shyt that just makes me go They tried to go into different social issues while still keeping the street element alive. They would've been better off doing without McNulty, Kema, and the rest of that special unit going after "an organization" for a season or even two.

Honestly when they killed the Barksdale organiztion they killed a piece of the series because it started with them and it should've ended with them as well.

whats so complex about another corner boy, that's all Bodie was, only reason Bodie was so popular was just that he was your average corner boy which most dudes felt they could relate to, Bodie never tried to be nothing but a corner boy, never tried to assert himself was a yes man, when he did try to act all brave and not leave his corner Michael put a bullet in his head

Bubbles was a junky yes but easily the most believable character on there when saw dude at first you could get that junky discust, if you ever been around any real crackheads you know what I mean, then that white boy got beat up, by Bodie ironically and bubbles said you know what fuk this that's not right and even though he would have got killed he started to work as a street informant lol mean while you got Bodie popping poor lil kid Wallace cause he was given the order from mofos who saw him as nothing more than a delivery boy

Bubbles goes on to struggle through recovery, having his cart business, schooling other young cats etc, whole time what is Bodie doing? On the corner wave cap on and spitting, that's the depth of his character

IMO it was his fault the whiteboy caught the beats for sending him out there with fake money.notice he didnt do that shyt himself cause he already knew what was gonna happen if he got caught.Then after his boy got fukked up he didnt take any of the responsibility for it and instead blamed the nikkas and started snitching on them

Then everthing after Sherod died his story just seemed forced and unbelievable....how many junkies you know dont relapse after trying to quit the first time?

His character would've been better off had he died when he tried to hang himself in the interrogation room.His whole recovery is a part of what made season 5 wack IMO

I guess he is more complex then Bodie(that aint really saying much) but his character wasnt that deep to me

Frank Sabotka was real complex and one of the best characters. COLVIN was one of the best on the police side of things.

Avon is underrated.

Stringer thought he was ready to venture into the business world. But Stringer was getting raped by the contractor, Avon hit the contractor with and left, Avon was not trying to hear it. also Stringer wanted to send a street dude to murder a political official and Avon ridiculed him in one the most epic sonnings ever shown on TV.
