The dope thing they did with Bodie was turn him from a villian early in the series to someone you actually felt empathy for at the end due to his hopeless situation even though he was a murderous drug dealer. Not an easy trick. When he got murked my mans texted me, "Is there a heaven for a gangsta!"
that's great story telling, not that he was a deep character. All I felt about Bodie was that he was a regular nikka who grew up in the streets, and that his character was relatable...not that there were layers to character

whats so complex about another corner boy, that's all Bodie was, only reason Bodie was so popular was just that he was your average corner boy which most dudes felt they could relate to, Bodie never tried to be nothing but a corner boy, never tried to assert himself was a yes man, 
when he did try to act all brave and not leave his corner Michael put a bullet in his head
