Yea, ive been to a million cook outs and sportsbars and office lunches, company bbq's, etc. and ive never seen nary a nikka get their steak rare. We dont do that shyt for the most part.

honestly, when most people order well done, most professional chefs/cooks assume its either old people who have no/barely any teeth and cant chew..

or, people who dont know how to order food properly..

the simplest, non-cooking person on the planet can make a well done steak at home by accident.. it taste terrible.. theres really no way around it..

I prefer my steaks medium to medium rare, however, I don't begrudge anyone for how they like their food.... and a well done steak can be executed and taste ok if its a good cut of meat and seared well.... Well Done does not have to equal burnt..... but a lot of people like it burnt as well....

just to go on record. I was raised to order well done as well. But I got put on to ordering medium in my 20's by my friends who went to cooking school and I never looked back. Everytime I go to a nice steak house with my pops I try to put him on, but he won't go past medium well. If he see any pink at all he won't touch it.
