This team needs guys who can play both ways. All these offensive specialists with a couple defensive specialists sprinkled in is useless against Golden State.

Blow it up.

Love and Shump for Butler and Rondo.

Kyrie and JR for sign-and-trade PG13 and Teague

Teague-Butler-PG13-Lebron-TT with a bench of Rondo-Korver-Derrick Williams-Frye-Tavares, Felder as the 11th man.

Lebron hits the "I'm getting old and going to save my energy for offense" mode. Get a team that can actually defend at 5 positions while still having enough firepower around Lebron to spread the floor and keep pace.

Their offense is the only reason this was semi competitive. Those trades are stupid as hell.

Korver and Deron were shook.

They didn't do a good enough job on the glass and with turnovers. Two things I know were priorities in their film work.

"Their offense is the only reason this was semi competitive" is meaningless. They had an elite offense and it was useless because you can't race Golden State to 130.

On top of that, Lebron is only getting older, all their shooters are getting old, Kyrie doesn't look like he can ever be trusted to be healthy...how you going up from here? Offense can't improve, defense is going to actually get worse if you don't blow it up, so.....?

This entire series, Cavs were trying to guard 4 offensive threats with only 3 legit defenders on the court, and the Warriors were able to guard 3 Cav offensive threats with 4 legit defenders. You will always keep losing with that math.

Cavs need to build a team that has at least 4 guys who are strong on both ends if they're going to have any shot at all.

It was a good run, too bad we didn't get into our scoring in the early instead of Game 4. Looking forward to see what next season brings.

It's not going to be easy to move some of the Cavs players. The contracts that the Cavs gave to the players are outrageously expensive. The Cleveland core players are banking. The Cavs front office handed contracts to the starting five unit with no team option. :mjlol:

Yeah, no one is giving you anything meaningful for JR or Shump unless you make them eat those contracts in order to get someone else. And I can't see anyone taking TT and giving you anything whatsoever that you want in return.

And no one who matters is going to get signed as a free agent - there's no space.

That's why any improvement on this team HAS to center on trading Love, Kyrie, or both. Barring a GS injury, it's literally the only way they have any chance of winning next year.

If the knee issues with Kyrie are serious and will nag him going forward, it's probably better to trade him sooner rather than later.
Kevin Love seems like the 1st to go, however.

2-8 in 30 minutes of play is NOT what he was brought to do in Cleveland -- I don't care how many rebounds he got.

I don't see that happening. There's no team in the league will be desperate to acquire Love's contract.

Combined 8-30:scust: in the series with terrible defense to boot. Not sure why Lue never tried Derrick Williams or Frye.:francis:
