Chuck Berry was technically the first but Jimi really did something never seen or heard before by making the guitar sing and not just be a basic rhythm guitarist and just strumming chords.

Last artist I really say did something completely different and new was T Pain.

None. Hendrix was a once-in-a-lifetime talent.

Consider the short amount of time he was a major public figure. He accomplished all those things in roughly three years.

Kanye has been around damn near 20 years. And his mark on music is nowhere near what Hendrix left.

Hendrix and Pac are outliers. Nobody makes me feel like Pac does with his flow. That shyt is an instrument it self. Kanye is an outlier that didn’t die early. Nothing sounds like his shyt. Sure he developed his style biting Xplosive but that shyt isn’t in every beat. He literally took what Q Tip did but with better ear for musicality. Q Tip himself has said everybody who samples like he does do it better. He joked on Pharrell’s OTHERTone show on Apple Music.
