Is it easier to bench with your hands close like that?

I don’t bench much, but I was always told to have your pinky on the line or just before it.

I’m tryna get my bench up, so any advice is welcomed!!

It's easer for me. I'm weaker when I use a wide grip. Close grip uses your triceps more. Wide grips uses your chest and anterior deltoids more. Try it and see which grip feels better.

No. At least not for me. I've always preferred a wide grip.

Yeah wide grip is way easier for me but then again I've been using a wide grip for 23 years now :flabbynsick:

You went to the hospital on that last rep breh?

No, I racked it :blessed:The camerman got nervous and ran over because he thought I was gonna miss the last rep, so the vid ended early.

Impressive brother...

I know you didn't ask but I don't think not using the collars was smart. I honestly think that's what got you out of the last rep because the weight became imbalanced.

It's better to bench with the collars off because I can dump all the weight off if I fail.

Yeah but you are lifting a weight where you won't need to bail at..I see what you are saying but that movement of the plates always throws my balance off.
