If you already got a cpap and diagnosed with Sleep apnea you should be over 50% because you can literally die because of that shyt

Which I think it’s trash that I’m not getting any rating because they’re saying my sleep apnea is not “service connected”

But you can be better. Like others have said, fail your hearing tests. If you have any pains or injuries, go to sick call. Some people be really fukked (like me) and deserve 100% and some play it like a game.
Thanks for the advice. I'm sorry and I hope you eventually get all of the 100%. I'm trying to make sure I dot all my I and cross my T's before I can get out.

Back in the DMV
You had a panic attack??? That's 90% for PTSD right there, but iif it's not documented you get nathaniel.

Like I said as far as I knew I didn't have PTSD all I knew was I had the sweats and elevated Blood Pressure when I went to the field. As soon as I went home and was in civilians I was normal. The Army Doc gave me a No field profile.

Good for you. The hate must have been strong when you handed that over. :salute:

Priceless advice, you are not going to get this in TAP class, or whatever they call it now.

You get two years to plan to get out. There's tons of resources and advice. Because I was medically retired I technically had two additional years that I went through the WTU for.

Just now filed my claim brehs. I'm going for adjustment disorder and tinnitus/hearing loss. I'm about to go back to the thread to read through the comments, but I am nervous about the whole process. I'm not sure I'll get anything, but I'll try.

General Question but when you all were ETSing did you already have these issues documented? If so why not? And once you decided to document it how long were you already out?

They basically go off your medical records. You can't claim breast cancer if you never went to the TMC for it. Now sometimes there's shyt like the Duke on the Hummvees that sent radiation straight to your nuts that they didn't acknowledge that they acknowledge later, but generally you need a Line of Duty Injury or a visit to a doc.

What I’m trying to figure out is if my packet is ready. I have some of everything in there and I’m going back to have it all looked at again before my VA physical. I’m trying to take everything...If what you are saying about the Duke/CVRJ/MMBJ/Thor :russ: is something I damn sure got that. I was actually the trainer for those systems something called a Crew master gunner. I already have ED that’s how I got my cialis/viagra scripts.

You probably don't know everything in your records, Basically what happens is a VSO rep requests your medical records, then they "tell the story" about how this is connected to that and that is aggrivated by this and so forth. DONT TRY TO DO IT YOURSELF The VSO's are free they have experience.

For example maybe you have ED because of the duke or maybe it's from PTSD or something else the VSO's and the VA docs will determine that for you.

Pro Tip; Any male veteran can claim ED, it's like back pain, no one can prove you don't have it if you complain about it. That's an extra 100 bucks right there.

i have been meticulous about my records literally have them printed out and online. And now they also have tricare online. I wish I could just hurry up and do this VA appointment early.

i dont think I’m supposed to do anything myself. But are they going to find the nexus during my VA physical or do they just take the records and identify the issues and assume a nexus? The good thing is that all the guys I know who have retired from sill says that they took care of them as far as the VA percentages.

But I see so many people having issues after they already got out but every last one of them stayed here in the area and now work here at FCOE or ADA.

The conditions I’m service connected for were heavily documented. The ones I’m fighting to have service connected now got worse a couple of years after separating. There are a couple of notes in my service records of those complaints but since I wasn’t seen enough for it, the VA is saying they weren’t considered chronic and that there’s no proof that my issues now stem from the issue then. That’s why I’m about to have a physician review my service records and write a nexus letter with an opinion that they are service related. This is basically all that the VA needs.

You may already know this but you have up to a year after separating or retiring to claim anything that happens to come up within that time. They will automatically presume it’s service connected. From the VA website:

“You may be able to get disability benefits if you have signs of an illness like hypertension (high blood pressure), arthritis, diabetes, or peptic ulcers that started within a year after you were discharged from active military service. If your symptoms appear within one year after discharge—even if they weren’t there while you were serving—we’ll conclude that they’re related to your service”.

Also, as part of your outprocessing you’re supposed to receive all copies of your medical and dental records. If that’s not on the checklist they give you (it should be), go to medical records and request copies of everything before your last day.

They take your records and indentify the nexus. They know what the VA is looking for.

That’s the first step. Yes the VSO will request your records but always have your own copy
