By who? Nas fans? that make it a cult classic at best then

By rappers? Influenced 50, Lupe, Dipset, probably Drake, Cole and Kendrick, etc, etc...plus its lowkey the blueprint (no pun intended) for Jay to go more commercial

Also was listed as the 12th best NY album of all time on this NY IG page:

What did BP3 influence besides corny early 2010's rap that aged terribly?

Didn't know Nas fans were mad jealous like that lol, even pretending his best songs would get praised if they were performed by another artist :dead:
Kendrick has badly received songs as well, just like Nas, the difference is he doesn't put them on his albums so your argument is invalid :mjlol:

God and GNX are definitely on his albums last time I checked

I dont agree with this at all. Nas is considered one of the GOATS on and outside of this board for a reason.
I don't disagree, Nas is my #1. But discography wise he has never cracked this conversation.

Eminem is in my top 10, yet people joke about him having one of the worst discographies.

With Kendrick every rhyme is a quadruple entendre, every verse points to some deep social critique, when he writes it’s the most technical shyt ever apparently his shyt is all in iambic pentameter :dead:

Right Kendrick dikkriding has long surpassed the d riding the likes of Kanye used to get, the breh can repeat bytch be humble x30 and get praised to no end.

As a Nas Stan and Kendrick fan, imma have to say Kendrick has a better discography and that is only because there is no bad Kendrick album.

Nas is better than Kendrick when it comes to rapping though.
I agree with this, and thats pretty much the general consensus (not on the coli forum though).
Kendrick is a great rapper, but he ain't seeing Nas but what put Kendrick in that top 5/10 convo is his catalog, not his skills. And what put Nas in this convo is his skills + impact & illmatic, not his discography in general.

Nas and it's not even close.

I think Kendrick would even agree.

There might be some Gen X and older Millennials biased in favor of Nas, just like younger Millennials and Gen Z being biased for Kendrick, but looking from an unbiased perspective, Nas has the better catalog of music overall.

Musically, I prefer Nas, but I could understand why a younger millennial, such as myself and Gen Z individuals, musical tastes may lay with Kendrick because he's relevant to our era musically, but unbiasedly, Nas is simply better with more classic albums, and hits.
