Black Self-Sufficiency
As long as the candidate is not perceived to be a bumbling idiot or having dementia, I really don't care who they put up there. My reasoning, well it is because what they say they are going to do economically for Black people before the election is rarely what they will do after they are in office. I personally don't care about many of the social issues. I am more concerned with the poor economic condition of many of our people, which is the man factor in creating the poor social conditions our people experience.

The truth is economic policies are being written by lobbying monied special interest groups on both sides of the isle. The corporations and oligarchy have the political leaders on lock down, and so their interest will always super-cede the interests of the average citizen (which includes our people). They will rile up both-sides with social issues (LGTBQ+, CRT, BLM, etc..), but the real economic issues (foreign and domestic) will be determined by lobbyists and those lobbyists are writing policies for and handing out money to both R&D.

man, that biden fist bump with MBS was :mjlol::snoop:

if he doesnt step down, the dems have to threaten to primary him. especially if the GOP takes the house back, because theyre just gonna start investigating hunter on day 1 :snoop: he doesnt have the fukkin record to run in 2024 and offset his age. hes gotta be the lightning rod for "bidenflation" and high gas and all this shyt

whereas if he just steps down with grace and class, he can spend the next two years laughing in republicans' face at their bullshyt. and newsom can build that momentum :shaq:

i was very against this at the start but i am coming around to it. i think it still can depress turnout to have to acknowledge that he was an utter mistake, but his own performance is also going to depress turnout anyway. i really have never seen so much mainstream criticism as i have seen now. newsome might as well run.

1) Let them spend their time investigating Hunter. They're not going to find anything that's worthy of a massive scandal.
2) If Dems don't have an absolute rockstar candidate that would for sure make lives easier in 2024, then Biden has to stay put. I voted for Biden in the primary and general, but it makes absolute zero sense for him to be replaced for the sake of him being replaced.

he wasnt a mistake in 2020 :yeshrug: he won the election. but its not like you HAVE to run for two terms just because you can

he confidently states the successes of his administration, but says hes not sure hes the best person to lead the country through 2029, and he's putting america first. theres no shame in that at all. hell, it'll be seen as gracious, and not power hungry. the literal antithesis of trumpism :dead:

nah, at this point it cant be biden. if the republicans take the house back its not even a question

tell me with a straight face that biden is physically capable of campaigning nationwide in 2024 :dead: can you?

If there's an alternative that has a shot at winning that is not only a better choice but has a realistic shot at winning, sure. 2024 is still far away (remember in 2006 everyone was predicting it would be Hillary vs Giuliani for the Presidency), so there's lots of time before that election, but if Dems don't have someone who is clearly above the rest of the pack and aren't retreads from 2020 (i.e. Harris, Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie), then Biden should be the nominee.

i think its newsom, if trump is the nominee :yeshrug: which its lookin like

its not gonna be a fukkin policy debate with trump :dead: we'll need a younger celeb kinda candidate, that dominates the women vote post-Roe. a candidate that maybe, finally, turns out the youth. newsom fits that bill pretty well

plus trump is obviously gonna run some white bread ticket, so if we ran newsom with a popular latina VP :patrice: i like the shot

Well, if Newsom is the nominee, at some point he needs to play "I hit it first" by Ray J at one of his campaign rallies to troll the Trumps.

In all seriousness, I'd be open to JB Pritzker being an option (if he wins reelection this year).
