What is this, highschool?

Undecided voters are going to vote for the Rock because they thought he was a great addition to the Fast and Furious franchise. Higher Learning y'all...
Have you been in a coma for the past 8 years? Clinton had much better policies but lost to a complete clown in 2016. Unfortunately most Americans don’t care about nuanced policies. They’re swayed more about messaging and marketing. The Rock could do that better than any 2024 candidate in my opinion. I also think The Rock wouldn’t be as feckless as Biden and wouldn’t allow himself to get bullied politically by his own party :mjlol: lol:

I wanted Warren to be the candidate in 2020, or at least the VP. But understood going with Biden as the safe pick until Dem’s could get a viable candidate going forward (and not be threatened by another Trump term).

But now, idk. I’m not shifting blame from the Republican/MAGA party, but Democrats have been ass and weak. Voters turned out in 2020 to go against Trump, not “for” mid ass Biden. Democrats relations with their own voting base is probably worse off now than prior to 2018.

I would not be surprised if Biden does run it back as the “safe” pick again smh. It definitely won’t and can’t be Kamala, that’s an automatic L.

I would prefer maybe a Warren/Booker type ticket, but depending on the opposing candidate I can see that losing, not because they’re weak candidates, but due to continuing energy of white backlash from the Obama term and sexism.

Yeah Michelle Obama is the obvious choice to run

And I actually think she will run if she believes we are slipping back into Trump style fascism.

thing is tho, theres nothing even "safe" about biden anymore :dead: the economy is fukked right now

i guess he has two years for it to turn around. but then he'd still have to physically campaign nationally, as an 82 year old :snoop:

part of me still believes hes not really running again, but he has to at least put up a front til 2023

The economy will be fine by the time he's up for re-election. That isn't really the concern. He's just old as fukk and doesn't do a great job of capturing the minds of the people.

Ideally you'll have someone younger, who is more engaging, that people like in general.

The problem is whoever else they try to trot out there the GQP is gonna try to tie them to Biden and they are inevitably gonna do a poor job of trying to walk the line of not shytting on him but also distinguishing themself from him and the stuff people didn’t like.

It's almost guaranteed we'll have candidates on the left whining about the establishment. We'll have candidates whining about the left. And the next nominee will probably just say they like Biden, but here's what they'll do differently and why.

The problem is that inflation is elephant in the room. :francis: Cutting spending, increasing interest rates and increasing taxes isn't a winning platform but it's the only thing that can control the inflation.
