Kia Stinger GT2 >>>>

Too bad buyers didn't feel the same way as the Kia Stinger was discontinued due to poor sales. :dead:

The Kia Stinger Will Be Discontinued in April: Report

Kia’s performance four-door has been sputtering along for years, and an end to the pain could be in sight as rumors of its discontinuation return.

"The Kia Stinger never really caught on as well as anyone would have hoped—in fact, I bet some of you forgot it was still around. Soon enough, though, it may not be, as rumor out of Korea has it that the Stinger's prognosis is terminal and that it has six months to live."

"This comes via the Korean business paper Hankyung, which reported Kia would discontinue the model in April. We reached out to Kia to confirm, and the Kia spokesman James Bell seemed to confirm the rumor: "We knew that it was having [its end] some day in the near future, but didn't know when." He also promised to verify, and follow up later in the day."

"Previously rumored to be canceled in 2022 due to slow sales, the Stinger has lived on into the 2023 model year. But its sales are as weak as perceived, totaling 6,643 through Q3 when it managed 10,377 over the same period last year. That's a 36% decrease to an already small number. For context, while the Chevrolet Camaro is selling so poorly that it's considered to be in a death spiral, even it has outsold the Stinger more than 3 to 1 this year."

"The Kia Rio outsells the Stinger by a similar margin, while Kia's top seller the Sportage outperforms the Stinger by a factor of more than 13 to1. In all, the Stinger accounts for less than 1.3% of Kia sales in the United States. It's just getting harder for this performance four-door to pay its way, all at a time when EVs are of greater importance to Kia than a niche, slow-selling ICE model, especially when the EV6 already outsells it almost thrice era. If that ain't a sign of the times, I don't know what is."

Kias/Hyundais aren't trash. Whoever says they are doesn't know shyt about them. In regards to where they need improvement is the handling and they're taking those steps in future models.

Regarding the theft issue, they are easier to steal than most auto brands but Kia/Hyundai have sent out recall orders to fix these issues. I know, because the broad I'm dating had a 2014 that she loved and that mf was stolen this past Friday. Kia sent her dumbass emails to get the the theft issue resolved and she kept ignoring the emails :snoop:

2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 in NHTSA Investigation over Power Loss

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2023

The safety agency has added the Kia EV6 after 11 complaints with some describing a 'loud pop noise' and loss of power. There have been 30 customer complaints about the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

  • The Hyundai Ioniq 5 crossover is the subject of a new safety probe by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
  • The investigation comes as a result of 30 customer complaints alleging a loss of power while driving the Ioniq.
  • According to Hyundai and the Office of Defects Investigation, the issue stems from the Integrated Control Charging Unit (ICCU).
UPDATE 7/10/2023: NHTSA has opened an investigation into the 2022 Kia EV6, which joins the Hyundai Ioniq 5 under a probe of loss of power during driving. Both EVs have been the subject of owner complaints that power is reduced or lost completely while the vehicle is being driven. A NHTSA summary filed on July 3 says that there have been 11 complaints about the Kia, stating, "Many consumers report a loud pop noise followed by a warning displayed in their dashboard and immediately experience a loss of motive power," which in some cases is reduced, and in others, is a total loss of power. The problem is estimated to affect 19,824 2022 Kia EV6 EVs. As with the Ioniq 5, this is still an investigation and has not yet triggered a recall of the vehicles.

even the latest models? I get that a particular year or two might be easy but I will think they'll fix whatever the vulnerability is.
That's what I'm assuming they would do. How they play that situation will determine if I might end up with one, Kuz i like this lil bytch
