Superstar
quiet as kept, they've won & lost every game I thought they would when I looked at the schedule to start the season
This is the deal with RJ.you lost me, I'm saying how does RJ benefit from that?
This is the deal with RJ.
He was a blue chip prospect, the son of professional athlete parents, the god son of Steve Nash, the face of Team Canada and this generation for that country that has become a player factory. He played at Montverde, he played at Duke, he had the connections and the marketing, he was physically more developed than his peers coming up and had a balanced floor game with solid athleticism. He goes on to become a top 3 pick in the NBA. He thinks he’s a star, the fans think so, the front office thought so but still has hope for it.
He doesn’t benefit from it but his whole life that has been that standard so we have to keep up the charade.
Just some contextI get that you want to aim your "RJ's wack" beam at any post moving, but you really gonna type all that just to agree with me? Lol
Where do you see the record for the next month and overall at the end of the season?quiet as kept, they've won & lost every game I thought they would when I looked at the schedule to start the season
Your dad? Call @Another Man “dad,” brehs. My dad was right. This team fuqqing sucks and we ain't going nowhere following the same formula. My optimism has officially died.

They're rounding out into what I thought they would be. The Knicks would solidly be a playoff team in the west, but in the east we look like a 9th or 10th seed. The Knicks currently remind me of the Timberwolves back in the early to mid 2010's because that team probably would've made the playoffs if they were in the eastern conference, instead the were posting up 40-45 win seasons while squandering lottery talent.lol nah it's not even like that. Orlando/Detroit was, and still are, two of the worst teams in the league, and Charlotte was going to be without Ball to start the season. There's no reason they shouldn't beat those teams at home. Cleveland/Milwaukee/Memphis all have enough talent to at least get to the conference finals, we just aren't on that level.
There's maybe like 3-4 games all November where I can say "oh yea they should definitely win that", everything else is a toss-up or an L marinating in the oven
This team isn't horrible, but they're not very good either. Even if everything fell right, we're still looking at a play-in situation imo.

Our Faye this season really does looks like it rest on RJ becoming a star or not. Brunson, Mitch, Fournier and the bench are doing what I thought they'd do and then some, Randle has been inconsistent like I figured, but RJ has been cheeks. It's time to stop baying him and judge him on what he is. I'd be more patient if RJ wasn't shooting absolutely abysmally so far. He can't be a main offensive option having slumps that bad.
It all comes down to the Knicks have a playoff mandate. They refuse to tank and that is what is locking them into this playin tier. This team wouldn’t make it it in the west either imo
This team is the east coast Kings
Have some decent talent but poor defense and no true superstar
Difference is that Kings got Keegan murray who has potential and looks more polished than obi right now

Right now I'm setting aside all concerns on the offensive side of things until the defense at least looks coherent. The young guys are all quietly finding more comfort on the offensive side of things, even RJ who's quietly shot 45% from the field not counting the Memphis debacle. These past two games have been against elite defenses with particularly big bodies in the paint. So I'm down to wait and see what happens as the sample size grows. They're still an early top-10 offense and I think even with some more leveling they'd settle into a top-15 range.
The defense is what's scary fam...Grimes' foot is scaring me and I'm not sure he can resolve the scheme issues. They're still in constant drop coverage, inviting teams to shoot without the personnel to close out on the shooters. Mitch is having foul woes but that's partially because the perimeter defense is so bad. Hart's avoiding the fouls but looks less effective defensively as a result. Were they both flukes last season? I don't think so.
Anyway, I'm not sure there's an easy solution for the defense. You can get by as a top 8-15 offense if you're able to get stops when you need them. The offense gets a boost too, from extra opportunities to push in transition. But this team hasn't shown that they're capable of sustaining that sort of defense. At least not with the current key players.
