Man..... thank God I just love basketball and not putting all my coins on just this shetty ass team. That lineup of 4 lefties and no defense is mildly infuriating.

Going beyond the game the trends that I am seeing is they don’t have a good defensive answer for PGs. Even if Brunson holds his own there is a drop off once rose and IQ come in. The plan seems to be have RJ and Reddish who are both ok defenders take on the toughest defensive guard assignments.

If there was a mistake this game by Thibs it was him doing the hockey substitution again at the beginning of the fourth. He needs to stagger Brunson, Randle, and RJ better. I don’t think this was a coaching loss though. It was on the players, but the hockey substitutions have to end.

I don’t got the numbers in front of me but it looks like the Knicks are being out rebounded defensively by a lot. I get the idea they want to be in position for transition plays, but mix in some crashing of the boards by the wings.

The Knicks had five guys in double digits and not a single one of them scored 20 pts because the refs swallowed their whistles. I think they might have trouble with bigger teams in general and a team like the Cavs with Mitchell just doing him is a bad matchup talent wise and team construction wise.

RJ is a beneficiary of Knicks fans dying for either a homegrown star or a local one.

I don't see how that's benefiting him, if he's being held to a standard he's more than likely not going to reach

Team is treadmill.

All of this was obvious when they decided Randle was going to be the focal point that year he had the all star season.

Then they doubled down on team treadmill when they made RJ the next focal point.

THEN they flew a big banner over the skies that said THIS IS A TREADMILL, when they signed Brunson & didn’t get Mitchell.

Team is not gonna get bailed out again like when the Mavs saved us in that KP trade.

We’re fu*ked for the next 4 years with no tradeable assets, our picks are mostly protected, we’re too good to get a lottery pick and too bad to make any noise in the playoffs…can y’all believe the Orlando Magic is about to surpass us? Lol…

This team's perimeter defense is atrocious and they can't compete with good teams playing that defense. Wade and Love had 51 points on 17/25 from the field to go with Mitchell going crazy. Grimes only helps that if he takes Fournier's place in the starting line-up.

They're both starting the season like monsters. Booker's doing 30 ppg on over 50% from the field and 40% from three.
