I said it on a Twitter Spaces the other day, but as long as we have Brunson healthy, I'm confident going into the season. He's that good.

Even watching him play yesterday, his numbers weren't too crazy (12 rebounds notwithstanding), but the way he paced everything was wild. Every one of those 12 boards led to an outlet pass for a fast break opportunity and even a bunch of PR's made baskets. It actually made me really curious for what Brunson could be in a more uptempo offense. I think his numbers would dip but he'd be BODYING on hockey-assists and impact analytics.
It’s so crazy how we just haven’t had that in forever. We’ve had lead guards who could score. We’ve had table setters before too. But haven’t had someone who could do both and MOST importantly, knew WHEN to be which version of himself, in sooooo long.

Feels like the shelf life wont be the longest, but i really love all these players sharing nba stories like this. I’m not gonna listen to all the podcasts cause Christ there’s a lot, but i could watch all these little best of clips that go viral all day.

Yeah, you can hand him the ball and trust the results. It's dope to see that validated by Team USA. Not that it was necessary for us, but I think it could help turn the media recognition up a notch...Brunson shoulda been an all-star.

He’s getting in this season. All Star voting naturally takes into account the full calendar year. It’s gonna be up to us whether he’s a starter though.

I don’t think it’s a bad deal but this now puts the clock on either Barrett or Quickley. I don’t see this franchise paying 20 million a year to two bench players
Bench or starter shouldn’t matter players should be paid on impact.

Hart and Quickley are super utility players who essentially play starters minutes and provide spot starts and when they’re out there they are some of our most positive players. Without them we wouldn’t have been a playoff team last season.

This is a no brainer Barrett needs to go.

Bench Barrett. It's the Fournier situation all over again. The right move is to bench him and have the more talented player take his place. Hart should be starting.
Fournier got his chance, sucked, and got benched. This only becomes the Fournier situation is RJ starts the season awful (which has a decent chance of happening considering how he's started every season so far).

But everyone is way overblowing Barrett as a problem for this line-up. He was the third option for the regular season by a wide margin and essentially the second-option for the postseason. The team has been just fine with him in the third-man role.

Nope. Y'all just look past shyt and he can be hid alongside a strong starting unit.

Idk what he did to you and yours, but the obsession is weird breh.
You have that man in your avatar and are literally arguing against the fact that he’s a below average player and trying to make excuses and rationalizations for him.

I’m talking about basketball and my team future prospects stop projecting bullshyt on me :russell:

Everyone on this forum knows this but y’all there’s nothing “overblown” about how bad this guy has been and it’s disingenuous for you to say that even the journalists and basketball nerds in the league are starting to air him out.
