Most teams are just gonna run it back at this point. There just isn't a seismic move to make. This summer is about getting the financial stuff correct so teams figure out how to be good without crossing the 2nd apron
Bringing fournier back just to bench him and eat the money is pure negligence.

DDV would be a great pickup

This.

Knicks have the excess players and draft picks to make a major move. So make the move.
Some of the players fans want don't want to be here. Some are older and will look for extensions. The front office is patient for once. They should just build threw the draft, and if something comes along like a Brunson signing than go for it.

The only move I see them making is bringing back Alex Burks. :deadrose: Maybe move Fournier for him.

Who is really out there that the Knicks can really get. Players can go to Miami and Texas and not have to worry about state tax. Cali for the weather. What does NY have to appeal to other players besides the Fan base and Brunson?

NY is not for everyone. That is why I can live with RJ and Randle having a bad stretch. Those guys actually want to be here and embrace it. We beat Devener 2 times last season, so the potential is there. They just need more consistency (players, coaches, and front office).

Lol @ build through the draft
This isn't the NFL
Knicks punted on the first round of the draft last year and didn't even have a first round pick this year so they are absolutely not relying on building through the draft

They haven't shown that they can get top free agents. Even the guys we did get people thought we overplayed at the time.

They drafted RJ, IQ, Mitch, Grimes. They all solid considering where they were drafted at. Knicks just need a wing.

This front office drafted Obi, IQ and Grimes and if you believe rumors, there's a decent chance only one of them stays beyond their rookie deal - for as many picks as they've had, they have draft and stashed, traded (for Hart) and kicked the can on their picks or have picks that are so heavily protected they may not convey into anything helpful.

Despite showing that they can't get top free agents, they're still not fully committed to building through the draft. They're trying to do a little bit of everything to keep themselves available for anything, but eventually they have to commit to something. Building through the draft doesn't seem to be it.

So who should they go after and what should they give up?

I don't see RJ or Randle being moved.

it's unfortunate some players don't want to play for the Knicks, because the fans LOVE the players, get amped, plus even though Cali has superior weather there is ALWAYS something to do in NY. Plus if since it's so many famous people in New York everyone won't be on your dyck 24/7..pause, only other state with that many famous people is California

But if the FO and coach are fvcking up as bad as a lot of Knick brehs in here are saying that's not cool

I wanna be optimistic about the Knicks, thank goodness we got Brunson, I hope we have a good 2024 season and that we make the playoffs again and do well

then how much are you paying for your 6th man?
Depends on the years but I see the range being as low as 4/72 or as high as 5/110. The kicker being I since it an extension means it won’t kick in until next season so the Knicks would have IQ under contract for 5 - 6 years. If they don’t think last season was a fluke either deal is good long term as the salary cap rises about 12 Mil every year.

I'm not suggesting they go after anyone - I'm for building through the draft. I'm just saying they aren't/haven't been doing that.

It’s going to cost a bag to keep Quick. Assuming the deal with Hart is completed we are closing in on that second apron territory when those salaries hit

I don’t believe that, that players don’t want to play here.

Knicks simply aren’t very aggressive.
