I mean genius in terms of ability rather than intelligence. Naruto had the demon fox Sasuke had the eyes. They were never hard workers without unfair advantages. People here are bemoaning shonen for being shonen. Naruto did completely fall apart at the end but it wasn't because of him as a character. He because a decent protagonist. Him and Asta follow a similar arc. Annoying at first but they grow on you.who's the genius in narutothe collective IQ of everyone ain't even room temperature. naruto lost the narrative on that loser shyt before shippuden even started you all over the place again

He went from an underdog who was fighting to prove himself, until they retconned him to be the chosen one, which defeats the point of all his character development in the first part. Remember how hard Naruto trained and fought to prove Neji’s philosophy wrong back in the Chuunin Exams?
I also never liked how Naruto’s whole character becoming all about caping for Sasuke ().
Naruto was cool through the first part, but shippuden really derailed his whole character. I’ll still give him a W for curving Sakura and wifing Hinata though. Naruto got a satisfying conclusion in the end, but some of the writing on the way was

Can't really count the main chick from Fringe. By time you get a couple eps into the first season it basically becomes an ensemble show. By time you get to the second season Walter's son, the main dude, is basically as much of a main character as her. She exists to pull the viewer in since she doesn't know shyt about science.
