Nah, Bruh...Aaliyah wasn't "next in line" - she was in a whole different line than Whitney.
So just like the Knicks, she was playing a whole different style than "Jordan".

And when she hit, other acts was trying to jock that (as you call it) "laid-back, non-diva" style...

Joe was an all around player; Defense ,Offence Play Maker. Angela Wrote, produce, arranged her own music, and is one of the all time greatest vocalists..
Alotta NBA teams low key copied the BAD BOY Pistons playing style . Alotta artists sampled Angela Winbush.
Angela had a successful career as a producer, and writer for numerous other artists. Joe Had a successful career as a general manger.(fyi trading for Iverson cost Dumar his job.)

Clyde Drexler or Mitch Richmond = Angela Winbush.
