So you see. The Berber MtDNA is a mixed bag of Western European and African ancestry. I never said the female side was purely European. But there is a definite sizeable European ancestry on the female side. While the male side is almost entirely African.

You need to learn that some of these DNA testing sites are agenda driven. These cacs are desperate to hide the reality of their genetic ancestry. They have been defining the mulatto ancestry of North Africans as native to the region because if they don't do that, they have to admit they are also mixed.

This is the major problem with genetic testing. It matters what you define as native to a region and what you say came in through outside gene flow. For example cacs have been desperately trying to deny that the Y-DNA haplogroup E1b1b originated and is native to Sub-Saharan Africa. They have been desperately trying to define it as native to Arabia or North Africa. As far away as they can from "Black Africa" even though the male Y-DNA haplogroup E is the largest in Africa and is shared by everyone in the continent from East to West to North to South.

They do this because there is a lot of E1b1b Y-DNA ancestry in Europe primarily in Southern Europe with Italians, Greeks, and Spanish. You won't see this DNA marker defined as Sub-Saharan African because they don't want to admit they are part black. So they try to define it as Berber or North African or anything but "Black African" so they don't have to be part black in ancestry.

They don't want to be told that the Moors fukked so many women in Southern Europe that they turned them from being blonde hair and blue eyed like their northern neighbors into dark haired brown eyed mulattoes.

Anyways like I said before and always said. MIXING was NOT the reason for the demographic change in Northwest Africa. It was indigenous Berbers(who we would call 'black') being pushed/absorbed by European/Arab settlers in an already sparsely populated area. This is true. American Navy even went to war with the black berbers to have them stop raiding their ships and other European ships in the Mediterranean. I believe this was during the time of Jefferson.
