Those children were engaging in thuggery so they deserved the label. This is really about your shame as a Black man and the failure as heads of your communities and countries is why the video makes you feel uncomfortable.

If she really just wanted him to go home there are ways of doing that without emasculating a young man in front of literally the entire nation. This deepens a white supremacists view of black folks (especially mothers) as not being able to talk things out like rational human beings and automatically go straight to violence to keep young black men in check. To them this justfies all of their fukked up behavior towards blacks because "see, your black mother's beat your kids, so we can too."

Those neighborhoods were still in shambles from a riot almost 50 years ago. Why didn't the men of the community go in their during those 50 years and re-establish their neighborhoods? The question should not be about a Black mother disciplining her son for trying to be a thug, the question should be why were Black men complicit in creating a thug culture that has ruined generations of kids.

She decided to make a fool out of her own son and herself in front of everybody and live up to every black woman stereotype in front of the cameras. Now she's basking in her 15 minutes of fame (go check out her facebook).
So we have an irresponsible person using violence to stop her child from using violence. What an excellent leader!

But the fukking artificial-deityfication of her is absolutely disgusting, and speaks volumes about what's wrong at the core of this country.
Honestly, the white narrative machine is in full fukking effect right now and it's just exhausting. Honestly, the it's like you can just see every single piece being placed in it's correct position for maximum impact. And it came about quicker this time than it did with Ferguson....They learned and adjusted, we need to do the same.

A teenager throwing rocks and destroying businesses is fighting for black rights like Haitian teenager killing Frenchmen and destroying French-owned businesses is fighting for black rights. Go solve your own problems and stop trying to divine ours, ignorant East African.
