my lil cuz grew up with drug addicts for parents. left him outside for an hour once at 10 years old, in the middle of winter, with nothing on except a pair of fukking underwear while they enjoyed their high. luckily, other memebers of my fam were there to take him away from that insanity. but if they werent... u mean to tell me he's better off with a black family, opposed to a family willing to give him love and an opportunity to live a normal childhood? i dont give a fukk if they were black, white or purple, i woulda put him on the back of my bike and peddled his ass there myself. he deserved better, no matter who could provide it.

I work at a kids shelter and its fukking painful white or black to see what those kids go through, you would have to be a legit sociopath to prevent a child from a good family just because they're a different race. Unless you're willing to adopt a child who's has autism because their mother smoked crack please shut the fukk up. Worried if she will grow up black enough most of these kids won't even survive past 18 if you spend your whole life in the system. It's difficult to prepare for something you can't understand until you're in the situation, which is why many white people have such a difficult time understanding why Black people are always "making such a big fuss about race." he has a Black daughter and is seeing first hand a small sample of what Black people deal with and felt so helpless that he had to reach out to strangers online to expose something that's completely foreign to him yet very pervasive and dare I say "normal" in America

Black parents are used to this kind of behavior from whites so I wouldn't expect a Black parent to go to the lengths he did to shame a racist, a Black parent would have given the child tough love in this scenario, letting the child know that this is the way the world is and to get used to it.

When this inevitably happens again to the Black child with white parent, is he gonna make another youtube video to expose the racists, he needs to prepare her to deal with these kinds of situations on her own especially if they plan on remaining in a predominantly white environment.

I'm doing my practicum in social work and work in a shelter, and I've never met one person in 5 years of doing volunteer work or any of that with the mind set of a some of these coli people. Not one, so that's how I know they aren't actually out here trying to make a difference. It's pathetic.

What I meant was more of teaching both her and them how to deal with the racial aspects of their family and the resulting ignorance it could bring about.

always easier to skip bayless about the way things should be (or UR PERCEPTION about the way things are), then to work towards a better understanding of the way things actually are, and what you can do to improve things.

again, i salute u fam. i grew up in the hood. i have fam who moved weight, and fam who stole from my moms home to pay for their fix. i've worked in homeless shelters and soup kitchens. no one should ever have to live in those conditions. some kids dont have a choice tho. and some of the a$$holes on this board think that's still preferable to a mixed race household where these same kids could have a chance to be loved.
