My favorite movie of the year honestly.

Dunno why people are caught up on the girlfriend, the main relationship dynamic is between Andrew and Fletcher. It's the evolution and watching two a$$holes grow in mutual admiration that is the dramatic thrust of the film, not his frivolous girlfriend.

he is? he always comes off as the "douchey good looking guy" in everything i've seen him in (only saw him in this and that trash rom com with michael b jordan) even tho dude isnt wat you'd call good looking :manny:
he's kind of a scrub but i like him. other than this I've only seen him in The spectacular now and project X

miles teller is such a likeable guy

He plays that likable, charming, confident kid in every other movie....which is why I think his performance is so great in this. It's completely against everything else we've seen from him. It's reclusive, mean and intense.

I wanted to rustle some jimmies, but there's some truth in it :umad:

i like his films but theyre like 99% dialogue 1% music and 0% plot :umad:

That might be what he's best known for, but let's not act as if he didn't make A Scanner Darkly, School Of Rock, Bernie, Bad News Bears, Me And Orson Welles.

I think he's good because he's kinda likable, or at least relatable while being reclusive, mean and intense at the same time.

just watched the very last scene again.

in that last moment when andrew and fletcher lock eyes, you could see flecther says something but you aren't sure because the camera stays close up on his eyes... but whatever it was it was enough to make andrew smile.

i'd like to think he finally said "good job".

I loved it. The tension between the two of them was real. I liked how they focused on that dynamic, and didnt spend too much time on any of the other characters, or even Fletcher getting canned.

Miles Teller did his thing here. I wasnt sold on him as a legit actor, until this film. Great range of emotion on display. JK killed it, dude was EVIL at some points :pachaha:
