just watched the very last scene again.

in that last moment when andrew and fletcher lock eyes, you could see flecther says something but you aren't sure because the camera stays close up on his eyes... but whatever it was it was enough to make andrew smile.

i'd like to think he finally said "good job".
Probably the dopest part of the whole flik

J.Jonah Jameson hit em with the "you got the Juice now kid!":shaq:

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Loved it. Best film I've seen of the 2014 lot. Ultimately, the driving force of the film is this shared ideal of greatness between Andrew and Fletcher -- everyone else is a human set piece to either bare witness to greatness, or be sacrificed for its sake. There's lil' things I like about this film like how the opening credits are the drum roll Andrew plays in the end. I also really enjoyed the scene in the lounge between Andrew and Fletcher, because it setups up the ending nicely. I've read where people have said Fletcher would never butcher a performance on purpose. Yes, yes he would (i.e. Any monkey can conduct). He told you he would. He'd do anything or go to any length if he thought it would produce a "great." When Andrew is about to leave with his dad it's either Andrew recalled what Fletcher said about how Bird/a great would never get discouraged, and Fletcher was right in stating so. Dude went out and went bonkers. :mjcry:

Why don't drummers wear gloves?

Was Teller really playing?

He didn't record the audio tracks, but he was doing real drumming when filming trying to keep up with the recorded tracks

Its a strong testament to the direction and editing that it is tough to tell that he isn't actually doing the audio track

He had a bit of drumming experience and went through a 2 month boot camp to help him learn jazz technique so he could at least be competent enough to get enough camera shots of him hitting the skins
