Seeing lots of Haitian shout outs and after googling, that shyt looks good. I don’t think I’ve ever had it. What are some of the standout dishes? What are some good spots in NY? I’ll try to hit one when I’m out there next

But personally I’m going with Jamaican and Cuban. Trini is good too, but a lot of it is soooo closely tied to Indian food that I can’t put it number one because it’s not unique enough IMO
Try Griot, sauce pois , banan peze, djon djon

Go to bk or queens for Haitian food, idk about restaurants because I usually only eat my Haitian fams food

Trina food is heavily Indian influenced but it’s prepared and taste differently. Def try doubles buss up shut etc
I'm sure ya mean what's best after Dominican food

I do want to try Haitian food
Ya got anything like chicharron de pollo?
Some of ya call it chicken chucks
Dominican and Haitian food is extremely similar except Dominican food is less flavorful

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Facts. But are Hispanics really fukkin with West Indian food like that?

Depends if they grew up around them. I remember a Puerto Rican girl a long long time ago who went to a Trini spot run by the Indian trinis and she said she was sick for a week.

She must have went to a bad spot cause I feel good eating Trini food.

For Haitian fritaille there is one nice hole in the wall spot in East Flatbush near the corner of Glenwood Rd and Albany at the bus stop called JJ’s Fritaille.

There’s another good one in Harlem on Adam Clayton Blvd called Karib and they are good.

YoYo Fritaille is a Haitian chain restaurant which is all over Flatbush/East Flatbush and Canarsie.

Venus Haitian restaurant on Parkside Ave and Rogers Ave is good.

Kreyol La in Flatlands is dope on Flatbush btwn Ave J and I.

La Baguette is a chain Haitian bakery you’ll find in Lefferts Gardens (Nostrand), Flatbush (Nostrand) and another on Church Ave by Rogers.

There are more spot but these are the ones that I know.

Oh yea the other one by John Jay college in Hell Kitchen on 10th ave btwn 57th and 56th
^^^akward location I know lol
