I said KO at first thought but changed my answer. Fighting 36 min and not winning a 3 min stretch at any point of the fight is just flat out embarrassing. Some great fighters have been KO'd, not too many great fighters have ever been shut out.

It really depends because some knockouts can be due to an accumulation of damage or a lucky shot. Then with a 12-0 shutout, you might take damage over the course of 12 rounds, or it could be a glorified sparring match where no one gets hurt.

yeah but fluke kos can happen you can be whopping some cats ass or just be in a competitive fight and a lucky punch puts you down. It sucks but at least you can say it was a lucky punch and run it back, getting shutout is way more demoralizing for the fighter and there is zero chance youre ever going to get a rematch plus you have killed any hope of ever amounting to anything. i cant think of one good fighter whose ever been 12-0

Mayweather shutout Canelo (I know Canelo got rounds but they paid off judges, he didn't win a round), but Canelo is still one of the top earners and the most respected in the sport.

Lennox Lewis got KOd by Rahman and came right back and washed him like it never happened.

On the flipside, a serious 12 round beating and a one punch knockout could both ruin your career.

Depends on the circumstances of the KO.
If someone pounces on you for 11 rounds than knocks you out in the last one that probably is the worst.
Being on the receiving end of a not too hard KO in a close fight sometimes in the mid-late rounds is better than getting shut out though

Wilder could've went 12 against Fury, he was stumbling around and looked more stable when they stopped fight, then in the first 4 rounds when they should've stopped it then, but what was the point of him finishing just to take more damage he wasn't going to do shyt

Mayweather shut canelo out even though the judges was on obvious bullshyt, if Canelo was taking too much damage it would've been stopped like Gatti, but even though he lost every round he was being competitive

Ali might have lost every round to larry holmes while talking a beating, but I haven't watched that fight in a long ass time I can't remember
