four seam fastball or two seamer? I've seen dudes throwing two seamers upwards of 100 mph with crazy movement, looking like it's straight down the middle of the plate then suddenly it's coming at ya rib cage... :lupe:

Returning a 130-140mph (approx. adjustment for loss of speed off the bounce) tennis serve is harder for the average person
Hitting a 100mph pitch is harder for a professional player.

That tennis serve from a djokovic or nadal would be borderline impossible for the average person to return. Tennis is a very difficult sport. The average person on the street could play djokovic 100 times and not be able to return a single serve

come on it has to the 100mph baseball. women return 100mph serves, the average serve in the women's game is 105mph. you think a woman is hitting a 100mph baseball? both are impossible if you have no experience, but one is just not realistic.

It would be easier to return the tennis ball for the simple reason that you wouldn’t be scared of getting hit by it.

It takes a long time to not be scared of getting hit by a baseball, now imagine one coming at 100 mph. Your first thought would be on bailing, not swinging the bat.

Speaking from experience idk :yeshrug:

I've hit 80 mph+ in the batting cages and you have to start swinging and commit to the swing the second u see the ball. I played baseball for over 10 years growing up. 100 mph I'm not even sure how u see the ball.

Tennis is way harder than it looks. Just returning a serve from another amateur is pretty damn hard, 100 mph serve I think would scare a lot of people and leave a bad scar if it hit you.

I don't think your average person could do either even with months of training

TENNIS SERVE EASILY....

YOU DONT HAVE TO MOVE
YOUR FEET TO HIT A BASEBALL.

A FAT fukk CAN STAND THERE
AND SWING THE BAT...

GETTING YOUR RACQUET ON
A 100MPH TENNIS SERVE
AND ACTUALLY RETURNING IT
INTO THE FIELD OF PLAY IS DAMN
NEAR IMPOSSIBLE FOR A NON TENNIS PRO.

If she trains at from a young age, yes. That’s essentially what tennis players do.

Random people who never played either sport aren’t pulling off either.

Also, hitting a baseball allows you to stay in one spot and at the very least you know there’s a certain area the ball is gonna have to be in. In tennis you may need to run across the court to return a serve.

Just as an aside, heard an interesting story from my father-in-law recently.

He used to be an avid tennis player (but non-professional) and happened to meet Boris Becker while in LA. They were at the same hotel and were practicing on separate courts. He ended up goading Becker into a friendly game and was 'keeping up' with him and chiding him at the same time. He then told Boris to play "for real".

Long story short, he said that he was hearing the serves, but not seeing the balls.
