Which is better: Super Mario Bros 1, 2 & 3 Vs. Sonic 1, 2, 3 & Knuckles

I see it like this. Sonic 1 was epic for what it brought to the genre (speed platforming)
Sonic 2 improved on S1 and was another stellar game
Sonic 3 and on.. while still decent games, didn't really raise the bar that much.

Super mario on the other hand kept raising the bar with each new title until Mario Sunshine.
Mario64>>> Mario World >>> Mario 3 >>> Mario 2 >>> Mario 1 and while some will disagree, the majority should agree with that statement. I know that is how the majority felt at the time at least.

Sonic, I seriously lost interest while I was playing Sonic 3. Not in the same league, don't shoot at the same baskets...

I see what ur saying and yea Mario did keep improving but it's just my opinion. I just slightly prefer the 1st three Sonic games

Yeah you right. I figured it out when I downloaded the soundtrack. Definitely the best although Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time give it a run for its super sonic money but may come up one bean short of a chili dog

Hmm the lists is all fukked up first off.
Second, Mario 1 is like the default generic theme song. The perfect jingle, as well as sound effects all classics. Sonic 1 is 2 is classic. But Mario 1 might make it to the smithsonian or the library of Congress. Mario is an Icon like sponge bob, bugs bunny or mickey mouse. Mario 1 and 3 3 alone beat every sonic game and game he has ever appeared in. By itself super Mario world does, and we won't mention 64, galaxy or even Mario RPG

Mario 3 is an OG classic, I always felt like Sonic got unfairly hated on by Nintendo stans, partially because I got a Genesis first back in the day.

There's no 16-Bit Sonic game fukking with Super Mario World though, I'll say that much.

On a long flight I will definitely pack my DS controller and play that shyt for hours on end.
