Does Mariota cycle through his reads and hit guys with anticipation on normal rhythm plays? - Yes.
Can he hit guys in stride and in tight windows? - Yes.
Does he ignore the rush and step up into his throws? - Yes.

I can assure you I know enough about football and QB'ing to know the kid is proficient. I've seen all 3 of those consistently since last season like I said. You throw RG3 under the bus, but honestly his failures in the NFL are on the Shanahan's not Bob. If Shanahan had taken his lumps like the Colts did with luck then RG3 would be further ahead than he is now. Mariota's not Peyton coming out of college, but to say it's all gimmick is bullshyt. You're claiming he failed based on playing in championship games. That's ridiculous.
Where is the body of anticipation throws and into tight all over the field on Mariotas resume?

Put me on. I don't see it.

its just not there. i was on the mariota ahead of winston bus, up til around the new year. the more ive seen since, in all realms of analysis, im just not sold anymore. his athleticism is off the charts, but its really hard to see his game translating right away to the nfl over winstons. i just cant make that argument anymore. his decision making, which is praised, is probably due to not really having to make decisions, if that makes sense. guys are running fukking wide open a lot of the time. when he had to make the tough throw, he would usually run it. maybe its because he cant consistently make those throws. i just couldnt gamble with mariota early in the first, if you are in a "must start now" mode as a team. most teams are tho. if i had to push all my chips in on one guy, i have changed my tune and just cant back mariota right now. you can either make nfl level throws consistently, or you cant. you can learn to read defenses all you want, but if you cant make that throw, what the fukk does it matter?

Figured out Oregon? They just went to the national championship and Kelly built that program from obscurity. Helfrich is still running the same shyt. What was Oregon like before Chip got there? Maybe sometimes top 10? They don't get the blue chip recruits that USC, Bama, OSU, and those SEC teams get yet they've been a perennial top 5 program as soon as he got there.

And he made Sanchez somewhat look like a QB and made Nick Foles look like a pro bowler. I don't really give a shyt for the Eagles or for Mariotta, but your nuts if you think Kelly's not a good coach.
