I guess it could go either way but the album as a whole doesn't sound like a west coast one. Doctors advocate on the other hand is a different story.

it would be tough to fit in the documentary into my top 5 west coast albums, but that is more so because there are a lot of classic west coast albums than anything having to do with the documentary. snoop, dre, cube, new, pac, dpg, dj quik, warren g all dropped dope albums

The album had a more universal sound. Some West Coast, some East Coast and some non regional.

I don't get how it's not a West Coast album. That's like saying Ras Kass Soul On Ice or even Xzibit's first 2 joints wasn't West Coast cause it wasn't no G-Funk, hand claps and all that other stereotypical shyt.

Most of the songs were produced by dr dre and had it two nate dogg features

All because it was a mainstream album yall nikkas wanna shyt on this classic :beli:. Game help put the west back on the map when it was looking :flabbynsick: for years

Stop disrespecting. There is at least one west coast reference on EVERY song on the album, most of the beats on the album sound like west coast beats (running, higher, westside story ect) and u got the nerve to say its not a west coast album? :pacspit:

I consider it a west coast album I'm questionin the classic part...bcuz of what it meant to the west coast to have a new nikka back in the mainstream its a west coast album off that alone bcuz west coast nikkas wuz anticipatin it that strongly....it sounding west coast is debatable...but u could say the same thing about Me Against The World,Amerikkkas Most Wanted if u lookin for the stereotypical west coast sound....but bcuz of who Cube wuz and who Pac wuz west coast nikkas listened and they are considered west coast classics:manny:....I want sumbody to prove Documentary is a classic outside the hype and anticipation...the luv it got when it came out wuz a product of desperation of west coast nikkas at the time:sadcam:

IF you personally dont like the music on the album then so be it.

But every song is 4.5/5 or more except for maybe Higher to me and No More Fun and Games.

etc etc

Classsic singles
Great sales
Anticipation
Nostalgia

Still bumps to this day and immediately makes me think of the winter
Easy 5 mic album to any nikka born in the late 80s/ early 90s really. All my friends and family would agree.

Most of The singles are classic but outside of that who remembers or cares about any of the songs off of that album? The rest of those songs on the album just ain't that good as you sayin they are....4.5:childplease:....it came out in 2005 and it don't get the love albums like Grodt,tm103,Carter 2,Trap Muzic get and rightfully so....hate to say this and make Gunit stans day but it ain't better than Beg For Mercy....its more on par with Hunger 4 More by Lloyd Banks which ain't a classic, just talkin albums outta that camp....its the 3rd best album out the Gunit Camp, how the fuk is it top 5 west coast albums of all time:wtb:
