Where would you say Barack Obama ranks among important/influential African Americans in history?

So...why isn't Pac in the conversation for most influential...but other poets like Langston Hughes or Maya Angelou are?
You don't think if they were born a few decades later they would be kickin' raps?

Mike Jackson, who is far and away the most influential music artist of all time MIGHT crack the top 20 most influential african americans in history, that might even be a stretch. And you got cats in here talking about Tupac top 10. I seriously got to question if ya'll have fathers

That ain't what I just asked, though.

If Mike Jackson aint in the conversation no way in hell Tupac is. Thats all you need to know

Who said Mike Jack ain't in the conversation? As a matter of fact, I saw a couple of people mention him in here.

But again - that doesn't have anything do with what I asked.

How

That's debatable...I (rhetorically) bet you can't name 4 Langston Hughes poems without research.

I can but I'm a bigger fan of his short stories than his poetry. And no the fukk it isn't debatable. Any metric you wanna to use for measuring writing skill Langston would beat Tupac Shakur in each one.

Y'all gotta quit having this mythical view of Tupac as some kind of genius - he was a black man that promoted a "Thug Life" :gag: :smh: :smh:

I'm not entertaining your frivolous questions. Maya Angelou was with Malcolm in Ghana in the 60's promoting the African American plight. Organized rallies for King, showcased her work at a presidential inauguration, has classic literature in her name, AND influenced your hero. Am I'm just rattling off the shyt I know, please take your trolling elsewhere. I cant even believe you had the audacity to just dismiss Maya Angelou as some poet. She's survived some of the greatest figures in our history and one of the last giants standing

You gettin' all aggy now, calm yourself...

- What do you even mean "promoting the African American plight"? That phrase doesn't make sense here...
- You can argue Tupac's work is "classic literature" as well...
- Tupac is not my hero.
- I didn't dismiss her as "some" poet, those are your words.

Your post is dripping with feelings.
