Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Where would Black Culture be without NYC, Detroit, DMV, Philly, Memphis, Chicago, New Orleans, Miami, Charleston/Low Country, Birmingham, Oakland/Bay Area, LA, etc.? :ohhh:

Stateside-wise, other than Georgia, where would Black Culture be right now without North Carolina, New York, California, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Texas, Missouri, and Louisiana? :ohhh:

Bare in mind that Black Culture consists of not just music and dance, but also art, cuisines, fashion, economics, languages/dialects, family structure, political dynamics, religion/spirituality, etc.

ATL and Georgia in general have made significant contributions to Black Culture but is Black Culture somehow doomed or downgraded if ATL and GA never existed or were never in the state that they’re currently in? :jbhmm:

I agree with comment. OP sounds like a c00n that’s making it look like black culture is impoverished elsewhere

There was another boom around that Time. Y'all can't seriously tell me dreads aren't more popular right now than they have ever been. I know for a fact I graduated HS in 13 and it was like 4 dudes with dreads in our entire Highscool and now my whole neighborhood look like OBLock circa 2012. Literally more dudes with dreads than fades

NYC has a big Caribbean culture so dreads were always here since Caribbean people been here. For African americans and Americanized Caribbean’s it’s not really popular

But the only city I can think of that has an upstick in dreads is probbaly Detroit and Philly and that’s it to me. South always had them and NJ

Oh I don’t agree with whole cities. I’m just saying a lot of people of a certain age copied the hairstyle cuz of Chiraq rappers.

Should have made that clearer
That dread head shyt came from the south primarily Miami.

Check out earlier Luke and Trick Daddy videos.

Miami brehs got it from Jamaicans.
