Nothing I said was untrue

being non AA doesn't mean I don't have ears :laff:

I been listening to rap since before both you bums were born :dead:

If you only wanted to talk to local bums you could just post up on a street not an online forum. The internet has no borders but you knew that :pachaha:

So now rap isn't from NY? :russ:
what I mean by u not being non AA, is that it's a given a nikka like plus the fact ur in what? Canada? Or UK right? + U :flabbynsick: who has "listened to rap" before nikkas like me was born it's no shyt. U hold NY rap and relevance in some perfect pedestal:yeshrug:

nikkas like u always glorifying NY related shyt

HH was made in NY, but if were gonna play the "Who invent what?" Game . To have us Non-NYers shut up cause u NYers/NY lovers can't take jokes/ some shots thrown at ya from us

Then that's when things needs to be straighten out:manny:

the jaz-o style he had/one is totally different

jigga what flow is more midwest/southern bounce

Already debunked this but

You do understand that dwelling on one song 20 years ago doesn't reflect on a body of work, right ? (one that's still growing, mind you)

The Migos joint 'Stir Fry' has a very NY feel to it IMO.. Doesn't sound like anything else on their album, and I think that's cool.. But it would be ignorant, thirsty and despicable for me to try and claim them as stealing an NY sound.

Ok. So now NY nikkas aren't AA enough because we have alot of caribbeans. Cool.

Lemme get that RBG flag back, the whole Harlem renaissance, the first slave revolt and Hip Hop and I will go back to my subway station.

OH AND MALCOLM X.
Ur reading skills have failed u. It's not about having Caribbean in ya.

It's about how alot of u half AAs side with the non AA part of yourselves

That's probably why NaS was able to destroy his ass in that battle inspiration from trash:russ:. shyt the Ruff Ryders was hot during that time too. You gonna tell me they were also southern sounding?:ohhh:
One of they hottest singles had a juvenile feature on it:manny:and the production style was different. South was on nikkas ass in the late 90s. It was time for y'all to switch it up a little.

The first video is literally just Jay Z using the word "bounce" to describe a beat that has NOTHIGN to do with the Atlanta crunk style that you're talking about.. And it wouldnt.. Why? Because it takes place ten years after what you're trying to claim is the divergence toward "atlanta bounce". Your entire argument just fell apart with that but I'll contineu.

jayz is describing the feeling of southern hiphop when he asks about the bounce. Not crunk, the genre

Big Pimpin is a Egyptian/Caribbean (Essentially bellydancing)sampled song. Where on earth would you get New Orleans (or atlanta) bounce from in that?

the feeling/essence of the beat is the bounce. Similar to the swing of jazz or the funkyness of soul/funk. That's what the many genres of southern hiphop have in common, the bounce

Third Video is literally not even a Jay Z song.. It's a remix to a Juvenile song, and if you didn't know Ha was by Juvenile then I do not believe you are black. Plus that's NEW

it was an example of jay riding waves of the south, my main point

ORLEANS BOUNCE.

it's new orleans bounce, the genre. What im talking about is bounce the feeling, a specific head nod/body moving element

a feeling that david banner describes here

Not Atlanta Bounce (which is really proto-Crunk, mid 90s ATL vibes.) You just mixed up two different styles :wow:

see above post. I just explained to you that bounce is a feeling found in southern hiphop. I am not talking about bounce the genre (new orleans) or crunk but bounce the feeling that runs through all those genres.

You need to stop :mjlol:

try again:mjgrin:

I never said it was perfect plus I always fukked with music from all regions even when I didn't understand southern mc's I took the time to listen before I dismissed them and I found gems. I'm an objective music fan and my goat before Nas was Cube I don't hold NY Rap above where it should be but it is still the apex of rap. I was into midwest and west coast music before the east for the record...

There's no but's HH is from NY, give respect to the architects they did it and they did it well that's all I wanted to say.
