Always
You're in the west now right? You can hit the bay trail all the way out to treasure island from right behind Ikea. Loop treasure island and then cut through the emeryville shopping center to get to the marina by chilli's. Ride that all the way out to the craneway in richmond, and if you're still feeling froggish after that, take harbour way south to cutting and loop point richmond. The whole route is paved and should give you a round trip of about sixty miles, it's mostly flat with short, moderate, inclines at treasure island and point richmond. Probably take you about five hours or so.

I prefer steel frames too. Outside of my frame, everything is carbon fiber though. It's a great mix. Firm, but compliant, with a lot of soul, which I find aluminum frames to lack.

Never found the need for more than one gear out here :yeshrug:

Thanks a lot big bro. I live in West Oakland. Literally, I'm less than five minutes from Ikea.

It's a single speed track frame, with a ratio of 70.5 gear inches, if my memory serves correctly. Handles all the flats and inclines that my location has with no problems. I'm often passing up people on road bikes, but it's really dependant on how fit you are.

cool so how much did you buy the bike

What's in the picture amounts to over $2k. I can get kind of obsessive when it comes to my projects though.

It only cost a lot because i built it myself using lots of expensive components.

This is a good bike store that carries only quality stuff and their bikes will cost about half of what i paid
COMPLETE BIKES – Retrogression

This site is good if you're not looking to spend that much. They sell rebranded name brand frames built with decent components
www.bikesdirect.com

Craigslist is always a good option too.

Got myself some rollers for christmas. Not sure if I'm totally sold on them yet. The weather is never so bad in cali that there isn't at least a few days out of any give month that I can actually get outside and ride. I tried these for about thirty minutes and it just made me ended up stepping out on a real ride for an hour lol

Dope bike. Keep us updated on how you like the rollers. Those rim brakes are going to rub the anodizing off the brake tracks on those H plus sons. Sucks because the all black is clean.

Thanks, will do. The anodizing is holding up well so far, i'm just avoiding riding it in the rain, which i've heard greatly accelerates the wearing off of it.
