Not enough stickers for you?:mjlol:
Exactly. My nikka, a Supreme sticker gives you 10 extra HP. Brakes? Having the option of slowing down is for pussies. Is that a water bottle holster? Proper hydration ain't for real nikkas. Black? My guy, you have to paint your bike a bright color so more people see it. If you do that the chances of it getting stolen go up. If you're not trying to have a bike you've invested over a grand into stolen yousalame.

It's almost like you actually enjoy cycling as a hobby. I do it for the gram my guy.

Is that a single speed with a flip flop hub? I don't see a derailer.

:pachaha: Yeah, it's a single speed, not fixed. I've never found a need for anymore than one gear out here.

My newest baby. With the exception of the bottom bracket and wheelset, I built it myself, from the frame up.

It looks well built. It's very clean looking. Looks steady and fast. Gears IMO have everything to do with terrain. If you don't need them you don't need them. I prefer a small amount of gears for my riding style. I ride BMX, 10 speed road bikes & cruisers. I want to get into trials. I love cycling. I used to hate it because I loved motorsports at the time. Now I don't see myself ever owning a car. I wake up fiending to ride my bike at odd hours. So I do! I love building, riding, and breaking bikes.

It's definitely my new passion. LMAO it's hard to explain to people why a grown ass man loves cycling. They think I'm cheap or broke. If they only knew I spend more on my bike than they do on their cars. I have a car too but I have hella bikes so I don't need to use it.

My next bike is going to be for long distance rides. At some point I want to cycle from California to Oregon. I've heard it's beautiful.

Yeah, when I had some time on my hands a few months back, I got addicted to it as well. Me and a friend try to go out every sunday these days if time permits. I've been told that the high that we feel after a long distance ride is because of a similar chemical reaction that the brain achieves with THC. I mainly just stick to the bay trail, which for me is from treasure island to pt richmond. Round trip from my house is almost a 50 mile ride. A trip up to Oregon would be fresh. It's really more mental than physical. Once you get past the mental hurdles, your body usually just gets into auto pilot mode even with steep hills.

It's a single speed track frame, with a ratio of 70.5 gear inches, if my memory serves correctly. Handles all the flats and inclines that my location has with no problems. I'm often passing up people on road bikes, but it's really dependant on how fit you are.

The runner's or cycling high is very real. It's wild, at my most exhausted I feel the most pleasure. I'm sure you understand the feeling. It's hard to explain as anything other than punch drunk. Is the bay trail paved? Hahaha, I really do not want to buy a mountain bike.

LMAO go figure we both live in the Bay Area. Nice to meet you neighbor. I played soccer for years. I've run marathons competitively. If something is in five miles of my house I'll probably run or cycle there. I love long distance running. Cycling was a natural transition for me after I quit playing soccer. It's way more enjoyable and challenging than running IMO. I've never cycled over 15 miles in one day.

I don't think I have the bike for it TBH. Any suggestions for good bike companies for long distance cycling?

This bike made me appreciate steel frames. They're faster than aluminium I think. I prefer a heavy steel frame over something light. I ride my bikes every day and they all have a different purpose. I ride all my seats slammed because I do tricks on all of my bikes.

You're in the west now right? You can hit the bay trail all the way out to treasure island from right behind Ikea. Loop treasure island and then cut through the emeryville shopping center to get to the marina by chilli's. Ride that all the way out to the craneway in richmond, and if you're still feeling froggish after that, take harbour way south to cutting and loop point richmond. The whole route is paved and should give you a round trip of about sixty miles, it's mostly flat with short, moderate, inclines at treasure island and point richmond. Probably take you about five hours or so.

I prefer steel frames too. Outside of my frame, everything is carbon fiber though. Fork, seat, seatpost, brake levers. It's a great mix. Firm, but compliant, with a lot of soul, which I find aluminum frames to lack.
