LAD Trash? I think some of you are just lookin for attention. If Death is the only reason people call LAD a Classic then why isn't "Yeah Baby" a Classic? Why didn't Eazy E Go Diamond? LAD is a monumental LP in Hip Hop History. It's Classic Status isn't even debatable. How many rappers done bitten rhymes? Taking concepts? Sampled beats from that album? It's influence on Hip Hop has been huge. It has the LEAST filler for a Double LP in Rap history. You know why that is? Big kept his callbo's short and song count low. There are only 12 songs on each disc. It's been 15 years and you can't even name 10 albums f*ckin with LAD since 97.

:rudy: the majority of LAD were HEAVY samples themselves, so what were people sampling from it?

off-top i could name at least 12 albums better than LAD that dropped afterwards:
art of war
ghetto d
400 degreez
its dark & hell is hot
flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood
volume 2 hard knock life
guerrilla warfare
ryde or die vol 1
supreme clientele
blueprint
black album
diplomatic immunity

LAD shyts on 80% of that list. The only albums on that entire list seeing LAD are X's debut and maybe Ghost album but that's more quality cause even then I can't say their better overall. LAD more sales, more critical accliam, more influence. Did you really just say Guerrilla Warfare and Ryde or Die Vol 1 are seeing LAD :dead: Again some of you dudes just trying to be different for the sake of it acting like LAD is some weed plate and not one of the greatest rap albums of all time.

facts...opinions... i dont give a fukk.

there shouldn't be any reasons to think that Hard Knock Life is a better Life After Death in any perspective.

Art of War wasnt even good to begin with and nikka try to put it over a classic

An album that "Kick in the Door, 10 Crack commandments, Sky's the Limit, Your Nobody, Long Kiss, My Downfall, Notorious thugs, I love the Dough, What's Beef, Last Day, N!ggas bleed, I got a Story to Tell, Somebody's Got to Die" is trash? Opinions are opinions but that's just not credible. Sayin LAD is trash is the equilvent of someone saying they thought The Godfather was boring. It's impact, success and influence is cemented, throwing rocks at the throne can't change it's classic status.

album was a 3/5 at best

I'm 100% sure the majority of you guys are under 25. So your opinion on hip-hop before 2000's holds very little weight.

yea because the album was/is not accessible :beli:, albums that i haven't heard until my teenage years such as liquid swords still hold up to its classic stature your comment makes zero sense.

Hip Hop, The Media, Majority of fans and your favorite rapper disagrees with you. The album is 5/5 at the very worst 4.5/5 if you want to throw rocks at a few songs. It's a certified Classic.

no body who wants to be in the industry is going to disrespect a dead rappers legacy.

Yea cause people run around calling Pun's "Yeah Baby" a Classic cause he died right? GTFOH. LAD still shyttin on albums 15 years later. People love to say the album was a success cause he died like Big wasn't moving units like crazy before his death. The fact is the album success, influence and impact can't even be debated. For every 1 of people like you who say it isn't great, there are millions of fans who know it's a Classic. You on an island man.
